USA soldiers worth dying for other people rights?

Someone may agree or dissagree with u.s. interventions over the globe i.e. jougoslavia, iraq etc. Some people hate or love 'em for doing so. I like to ask you, is it worth to let it's people to die in foreign countries and if so where is the line to say it's worth or not?

yes,I hear that news 2 years ago,That say the USA loldiers worth is 6 times than UK soldiers.
