deadline for the troops

im an army spouse and im intersted to find out what we as a people are thinking about the situation between pres.bush and congress neither want to budge on their set way of thinking. i wonder what would happen if they left it up to a general poll for the general public to vote on. what i think needs to be done is a public vote on it or a interactive disscusion, so they (bush/congress)actually know what we are thinking and they dont make haste decsions based on their own egos. let me know
