Are asian horror movies great?

the eye,the grudge,the ring,shutter,one missed call etc. does it scares you that much?

The asian horror movies especially Japanese horror movies are full of scream, and half an hour after I watched I will forgot all about it. But the American version of The Ring really scared me.
