I work in a company which provide uniform and must wear uniform in working days. We have 2 sets of uniform each in winter and summer. But I really don't like to wear uniform every day. Of course, there do are some advantages to wear uniform in office: 1. It's very orderly in office 2. Can identificate office clerk easily 3. For us,it really save much money as no need many clothes. But I still don't like it as it's very dreary that every one wear same cloth, all creativity is controlled, it may affect working negatively.

I understand that call for uniforms in some situations. In food-service industries especially. It gives the workers a neater look and also makes them easy to identify if needed. My concern (and general hatred) lies with office attire. If you work in a cubicle and see no one but other cubicle drones all day, why do you need to be dressed a certain way? I understand that (in most workplaces) pajama pants and torn up tank-tops are not the way to go, but seriously - a nice pair of jeans with no tears is every bit as suitable as slacks, if not moreso. If you are not dealing with the public, there is no reason for you to appear as though you are.

I hated wearing uniforms for the fact they only give you one or two sets of clothes for which you have to wash on a daily basis and you feel as if I stink even if I showered or washed my clothes. I am one that changes everyday and hate wearing the same clothes twice.lol.

I drive a truck during the week .. most of the time .. I have a uniform of sorts but not supplied by the company. I wear navy blue shirts and pants, with the company logo on both of them. On the shirt it is above the pocket on the left side front and on the pants it is on the belt section. My partner put them there .. to claim them back as a tax deduction they must have the company name on them. For the farm that we own, I just wear dark blue shirt and jeans mostly. If we are going to somewhere about out produce .. I have a good set of clothes which my partner has also put the company name and logo on. It looks better ... people like the look and realise that if we look neat, tidy and clear .. then our product will be good to. The company I drive the truck for does give us all sorts of wet weather and safety gear to wear ... jackets to put on in winter .. they have the company name on the back of them so we can easily be identified. This is what some places we make deliveries to insist ... the driver being able to be identified visually before they see the delivery documents.

The number one reason why companies required a uniform for their employees is for identification. When we applied for work we agree to their policy and we must adhere to those policies. Anyway, it is an advantage to us that we don't buy new clothes always and don't have a hardtime choosing what to wear everyday.
