foster care

I have seriously been considering getting involved with the children's foster care system and I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has any experience in this area. Any information (good or bad) would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

It is a kind thought and good for you for seeking more information. You might want to check out some family rights sites and talk to people there. Many parents have had children needlessly taken for false or ridiculous accusations and there are foster parents too that have been taken advantage of by the system. They system does not work as it was intended. You might actually want to try becoming a CASA volunteer first to get a glimpse of the system as an insider and try to help kids that way before becoming a foster parent. Just a thought...
