ive heard a lot of people from a lot of gaming websites that say FFX-2 may have been the worst FF game ever. What do you think are the factors that make people think so? And do you think is this game a worthy sequel?

I have to agree that FF X-2 had to be one of the worst Final Fantasy games to date. I'm a huge fan of the series in general, and FF X was quite possibly the best role playing game I have ever played. I was hoping X-2 would be more like X than it was, and when I saw that it wasn't it was a huge let down. I think part of the reason people think this game is so awful is because of the way they changed the "leveling up" method, and the ways you change your weapons and abilities. The idea of "dress spheres" was just plain silly... it made me feel like I was playing a game designed solely for little kids. Final Fantasy X had it right with the sphere grid... why try to fix the system if it's not broken? Another major peeve of mine with this game was how out of character the characters really were. How can Yuna believably go from being a summoner to a scantily clad pop star in the time span that they had set up? She can't. I think this game lacked a sense of reality in relation to the FF X world, which had fans up in arms. I don't believe X-2 was a worthy sequel at all. The storyline was the only thing that kept me remotely into the game... the playability is just awful.

The only reason I played FFX-2 was in hopes of seeing Tidus and Yuna reunite. I also liked the character Lenne, and her story, but other than that the game really wasn't very interesting to me. I don't know, it just didn't really have the 'oomph' that most Final Fantasy games have. I thought XII was really boring, too, though, and didn't finish playing that. My boyfriend is slowly playing through it because he likes the MMO fighting style, but he doesn't think the story is all that interesting, either. The only reason I think the game is a worthy sequel is because the ending is nice and it wraps up a game that, while finished, left a lot of open questions.
