Many of us think that being thin is beautiful. Some of us think that being fat is ugly. Models is considered beautiful because they are thin and walk gracefully. Fat people is considered not attractive because they are phsycally huge. But in my opinion, whether you are fat or thin, we are all beautiful in our own ways. If we know how to bring out our best qualities, we can be beutiful. But it is not always the case because some of us think that being phsycally unattractive is a sure way to kill self-esteem. Do you think this is right?

super skinny - super skinny
I think that body shape makes a big difference in one's self esteem. Some people, as you said seem to organize women into two catagories, fat or skinny. One is sexy, the one is not. Well, I think sexy depends on alot of things such as looks for one(not a very big deal though compared to other qualities), personality, confidence, sense of humour, even the way they carry themselves(body language)makes a person sexy. Everyone has something to love and something to hate though, we are all different people and none of us are perfect. Besides, I think all them supermodels are way to skinny, skin and bones is NOT attractive in my eyes.

I totally agree with your opinion. Real beauty lies within oneself and the outer appearance. And, I disagree that those supermodels are used as models (whatever they are promoting). They dont look healthy. They only look beautiful because of the heavy make-up. Anyway, I am not condeming them. It their jobs that require them to stay slim.

Beauty is only skin deep and you need to look below the surface. Having said that, however, there is far too much pressure from the fashion andustry and the media for women to be stick thin and pinch faced. These "celebrities" look like walking skeletons, yet these are the objects young girls aspire to look like. I have no self esteem now, having been the object of ridecule and derision for so long, and I pray that the next generation realise that this is not the ideal.

I think no affect with fat or thin to give self-esteem to another person, but today many people trust what their look, someone have innocent face they gift self-esteem good person and, someone have ugly face they gift self-esteem bad person. Best regards

I agree with you ellie26. The physical appearance doesn't matter to me. I'll look not on the outward appearance but what inside of her/him. Infact there are lots of people even if they have great bodies are lack of self confident too. So the most important thing is what we have inside. You're right, we are beautiful in our own ways.
