a great movie for friends who became lovers

Just Friends is a 2005 film. Its tagline is "He loves her. She loves him not." Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds), an overweight high school student, is in love with his best friend, Jamie Palamino(Amy Smart). He confesses his feelings to her and is publicly humiliated when she doesn't reciprocate them. Ten years later, Chris is a handsome success, with a thriving career as a record producer in Los Angeles and a reputation as a ferocious womanizer. He is working with Samantha James (Anna Faris), an up-and-coming pop singer with whom he had relations in the past, but "ended up in the hospital" from her wild antics. On the duo's "business" trip to Paris, Samantha sets her private jet on fire by neglecting to remove the tin foil from her microwave dinner. This causes an emergency landing in New Jersey, right near Chris' hometown. He takes her to his old house for the night, causing him to face the humiliating high school years he left behind, as well as deal with his unresolved feelings for Jamie. Chris refuses to give up wooing Jamie, despite a rivalry with spaz-turned-ladykiller Dusty Dinkleman (Chris Klein) for her affections.
