Can you play any musical instrument?

I play the guitar. I started playing it when i was in highschool because most of my suitors during that time was into this band thing, so almost all of them were guitarist. And at the same time i was into this acoustic music. When i was in gradeschool, i had piano lessons with my auntie as my teacher. She taught me how to read the music sheet and some few musical piece. But since we don't have a piano at home, i'm not good with piano. I also played the flute because it was a requirement in our music class before. hehe. I hope i can learn how to play the violin.

when i was a child, i learnt to play the harmonium and sing aong with it. now i hardly play it anymore. but i just love the sound of guitar and i have introduced my son to it. he takes guitar lessons once a week and at home i also learn it from him. let's see how long we can continue.

i play the organ. piano a little, keyboard.. anything that looks like it. started playing it since 3rd grade elementary school. love to play piano actually, but i just too lazy to practice, that's why my parents not willing to buy me that piano.
hhahahahha. i don't know why i need my mood to play that music... or sometimes when i love one song i try to play it in my keyboard... that's all. i ever try to play violin too, i learn myself, when i get better, i have to return that violin to my friend, she need it. :)

So you're into percussion instruments. That's nice. But you don't have the great passion but atleast you have the talent. hehe. Wow! You can play the violin?! And you just learned it by yourself?! That's great. I really want to learn how to play the violin but my parents won't allow me to have violin lessons and they won't even buy me my own violin. :(

Oooops! Just a correction, i mean you're into string instruments. Percussion instruments are the drums, snares, etc. Just got confused. I hope i'm right this time. hehe

Not anymore. I played the violin and cello as a kid because my mom wanted me too, but I didn't like it. I always wanted to learn piano though, but have never gotten around to it. Maybe someday I will! I would like to get my kids into music of some sort, but only if THEY want to.

Well how i wish i could learn how to play the violin. I saw a cute violin in Megamall which inspired me to learn. hehe. Anyway, me too. I wanted my kids to be into music if they like. I wish my parents were like that but they prefer me in academic tutorials like math class. They'd rather send me in quizbees than to a band contest.

The first instrument that i learn was the trumpet. I was in a marching band then. this was in grade school. Then i rthought the drummer gets all the girls so why not learn the drums. I became a drummer for a band in highschool but i found it hard to sing so i learned the guitar. i also know how to play the piano.

Hehe. That's cute. I think it's ture that most girls go for drummers cause i really think that most drummers are hot. Well yeah i also thought that it's hard to sing while doing the drums but i know a local band that their vocalist is also their drummer. Great huh. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I am very happy that I you have started this discussion. I can play Flute and I love to here it. I love Most instrumental songs paepared from Flute. The essence of flute gives me strength. it keeps me calm and cool. I can also paly Piano. I learnt both things throug my experience. But I m planing to take lessons for Piano.

I can't paly any instrument but I like listening to the piano.When you listen to it with no disturbance you can feel that you have been in so wonderful music.

I used to play the piano. But I don't practice anymore that's why I only get to play a few notes. I would love to learn again though. That's my dad's frustration. He enrolled us (my brother & I) in piano lessons in Yamaha. My brother's a good pianist than I am.

i tried a lot of musical instrument but i didnt work i start practing to play a guitar but i already give up when i see my finger have a callus. and then i start playing piano but i found out im bored playing on in.. i cant find a perfect instrument for me... can u give me some advice.. hahahahahah

hmmm, well yeah, when i first i also stopped playing the guitar cause i don't want my delicate fingers to have calluses. Haha! well girls will be girls right? But when you really have the passion to music then you won't notice it anyway. I enjoyed playing the guitar but i seldomly play it so that i can avoid those stubborn calluses. But everytime i play, my fingertips hurts! hehe. The piano, yah it really is boring. i also stopped playing the piano cause it was really boring. My advice is, try to play some percussion instrument, like drums. But trust me, they are not that easy to learn if you are not good with beat and rythm. You can also try any wind instruments, liek the flute or the clarinet. It's easy to learn but i also kinda find it boring. But who knows, you might like it. :)

Really? Well that's great. But of course i should have my own violin first. hehe. How much do you think it would cost me? I don't have any idea how much a violin is. one time i saw a pretty pink violin at the mall but i didn't saw the price.

Me too, i can sing a little. Actually i can sing while playing the guitar but i cna't do it with a piano. Maybe because im not that good in the piano. Anyway, thanks for the response.

I first leaned to play the piano and i was also thought how to read off the music sheet.Its quite interesting i should say.Then after a point of time I got tired of playing the piano that i stopped it and switched over to the bass guitar.Later on i was called to play for a local rock band which was formed by a few of my friends and we did quite ok.After a year we split and i had no worries over it cuz anyways we never did great music.
Now i'm just not into any instrument,I play if people call me to and thats about it,not that i'm into any band or something.

I can play any instrument.i can play guitar, and piano.When i was a child my father send me to a piano lesson school and i found it boring an di stopped it but i know how to play piano but not as good as them.In school we join to an organization that is free tutorial and i enjoy it.They teach us how to play guitar.

i can play the recorder! remember the recorder with mary had a little lamb and 3 blind mice? that's as far as my musical talent goes. my husband on the other hand can play acoustic guitar, bass guitar and whatever regular guitar is, lol. he can also play the drums. he spent most of his life in a band with the same guys he grew up with and they all sort of learned to play on the others instruments. He's very good. I have a question for you, do random neighbors ever come over to compliment your playing? we have our drums set up in our living room and that happens alot, lol. does anyone else on here have that happen?

about neighbors compliments, i never really had it before cause we live in a subdivision were the homes are really far from each other so whatever sound you make, no one from the other house will hear it. Cool! hehe. :p
