Would you say thankyou for joining? If a referral joins under you on a money making site (ie: mylot) would you send him/her a friendly email to say hello and thankyou for joining, or would you have to ask them to become your friend first. Also what if they stay as your referral and never earn a cent for you or themselves, would you then send them a friendly email?

Hello kiwikidz. Definitely I would say thank you. It is common courtesy to do so. They don't have to be friends first but it's always nice to add them as friends. That way we can communicate if need be. If they never earn a cent as my referral, well then at least I tried. I would send friendly messages though every now and then. Thanks and have a nice day!

Thanks for your response, I think it is nice to say hi to your referrals if it is possible, some sites you cannot get in touch with them but you know that they are either making some money or not. I like to think that my upliners are happy with me. (Thankyou whoever you are) Have a great time on mylot.

It never hurts to be friendly, nice, and polite. I personally would send a hello and thank you for joining the site. I also, at that time, would ask them to be my friend. And, if they didn't do anything, one friendly email would be enough. + rate for you again dear. Have a nice day.

Yes, I always do. Whenever a referral signed under me I sent messages, emails to thank them and guide them how to earn. I always keep track of my referrals especially here on myLot. I encourage them to post quality discussions and I also replies to all their post. I don't know my referrals but I'm thankful that they signed under me. So in a way I gained friends too. It doesn't matter to me if their active or not, I still thank them for being my referral. A little message of thanks goes a long way.... believe me.

I would as I think it is a nice thing to do, it is very hard to get willing referals so it is nice to show appreciation...

Yes, I have done just that. I actually got 5 referrals all in the same week, but 2 actually never even were active. They just signed up one day and have never logged on after that. The other two, one was my aunt, the other my sister in-law, and my cousin. My aunt and cousin just thought it was a waste of time and my sister in-law got a job so doesn't really have the time. I thanked them for joining and gave them some tips and advice on how to make more money on here. I know when I join sites some people have sent me e-mails thanking me and giving me some helpful advice and I think that's really nice that they took the time out to thank me and help me out. So I like to do the same for others since after all they are helping me out in making me more money. I believe it's a great way to keep your referrals active also.

I have never had anyone sign up under me as a referral. If I did, I would be so happy about it that I would definitely thank them. I wouldn't wait to see if they are earning anything for you before thanking them. I don't think that people actually sign up for sites thinking~ 'now I can make money for this other person." they are thinking about making money for themselves. Sometimes once someone signs up for a site, they decide it isn't a good fit for them.

That sounds like a great system that you have going. I am not with that many sites. I just don't have the time. I am member of clixsense, adbux, inboxdollars and sendearnings. If you want links to any of these, let me know and I will give you my referral links.

I never got to say thank you to my referrals, mainly because they were never active. I don’t mind though. I just wanted to share mylot to other people in the first place. I don’t think I could send them an email to urge them to post, I’m just too shy and for me, it seems like intruding. I mean, if they really don’t feel like posting in this site, what’s the use of emailing them?

Thanks for your response to this discussion. I think that you only do what feels right for you to do and if you don't like following up on referrals (where you can), then that is fine too. Not all sites make it possible to make contact anyway but where it is possible I like to just say a hello to let them know I am their upline. It is then entirely up to them if they respond or not.

I would send them a thank you for sure, also would add them to my friends list, they can choose to accept or not. I would not send them an email or anything like that if they chose not to be active, that is up to them, but if they asked for advice I would help as much as I could, I think people should look after their referrals when they can.

Yeah, Definitely, Definitely, whether one earns from the referral or not, we have a chance of making a nice friend. In one way or other we mylotters follow a decorum and discipline, by strictly adhering to the guidelines of mylot. If not why should hang our heads here,we may have taken some ideas of quick rich scheme, scam sites to make a living. This does give us a idea that mylot comrades work hard to have a legitimate income, and therefore our referral is no exclusion to this.Hence i feel, there is nothing wrong in thanking or dropping private messages.
