Yes, abortions (legal and illegal) should be stopped. We are killing our children! With medical science advances, there have been little ones born at 20+ weeks and have survived. How can anyone say that it's not a child when it can survive at such a tiny age? Once a society starts killing its "inconvenient" chidren, what's next? The "inconvenient, expensive" elderly? the mentally handicapped, physically handicapped? or - you? Life must be protected at all costs. If the doctor determines that the mother would die, the child must be saved. It's far better to prevent conception than to take that viable life.

Contraceptives fail. And as clam said, abortions ahve been taking place for centuries. And before abortions were discovered, infanticide was far far more common. These are not new developments, they were simply respected as personal choices and were never spoken of in polite society. Now people seem to think there's nothing wrong with forcing your personal values on people who don't agree with you.

i dont think it should be stopped, sometimes abortion is needed to help the mother or the child in the stomach is no longer can live so abortion is needed, but illegal abortion should be stopped

I realize that sometimes it has to be done, say if the mother would die. However, if you are just going to use it as a form of birth control, yes, it should be stopped!!!! It is a very disgusting practice, and I don't care what anyone says, that BABY feels the pain! As soon as a child is concieved, even before the heart begins to beat, it is a LIFE in my eyes, not just a fetus.

Actually, you are misinformed. First trimester fetuses do not even have a nervous system, much less brain activity. They are physically incapable of being aware of or feeling anything at all. These systems do not develop until well into the second trimester. Most abortions are performed in the first trimester.
Whether or not you would have an abortion, or whenever you think a life begins, you cannot state blatent mistruths like that.

Abortion should be stopped because killing someone is murder. I could understand if the woman/girl was raped. But only 1% of those women/girls were raped. I think if you are willing to lay on your back, then you be willing to have the baby. I'd rather see a woman give her child up for adoption. Abortion isn't the way to go!!!
