Is GOOGLE providing a new tool, GOOGLE DRIVE?

Is google mail is providing a new facility in which we can use gmail space as storage hard disk.
I saw it in some blog.
is it really true.

Its like this, that the large mailbox space of gmail to be used as our own personal hard disk. Just heard of it from my elder brother.
