Dr Death & Mademoiselle Nigot

This may not be the latest news, but I saw an incredible documentary about Dr Philip Nitschke aka Australia's Dr Death and the suicide of a wonderful lady called Mademoiselle Nigot. This lovely lady was around 80 years old and was mentally and physically fit. In fact she looked and sounded great for her age. She felt the time was right for her to go and she did some research via Dr Nitschke's Workshops on how to successfully commit suicide. This led me to thinking how sensible and practical this was for people who did not have any children or relatives. Why end up in a nursing home being bored out of your brain when you can no longer take care of yourself, with the possible risk that it will be closed down and you'll be homeless or end up in hospital as a last resort. Why no be proactive and go when you feel the time is right? What are your views on this?
