i am amazed how people trust each other so much here in myLot

i had been through discussions about life, relationships, anger, madness and almost everything.
in this site of mixed cultures, i was truly amazed how most people can share their experiences and thoughts about issues. through the sharing, even if we only know each other through the net, somehow, there is this attachment between all of us members... something beyond what we truly expected from the start.
we gained friends which we thought will only end up in our friends' list. but some turned out to be beyond the boundaries of being friends through the net.
sure there are still those who are inconsiderate, selfish, rude and sarcastic. but just thinking of how close the members of myLot had become now, i just can't imagine life anymore without myLot... without the discussions and without the people who make up this very great site... our friends.
so, how far have myLot touched your life? or did it change a little part of you?

Many of my friends here touch my life and had a unique feeling which originally kept me around.
I think those within our friend lists which are happy to see us, talk and general be buddies are those we can trust. does that say a lot for mylot? probably the best site to make a close tied bunch of friends.

I know what you mean and it is strange how close you can feel to people you will never see or meet in the real world. This is like living in a virtual reality world, at least that is what it feels like when I come on the Internet. I feel like I live 2 lives, my real and my virtual one. I feel coming here has given me a break from the usual stuff I do online and is improving my writing skills as well as giving a glimpse into other peoples lives.

Mylot is better then going to see a Psychiatrist. Because the people have either been through what we have or know somebody that has and their advice is much more better then a Psychiatrist plus you get to make new friends in the process and get paid instead of paying out hundreds of dollars for a doctor who does nothing but says Yes I see, how do you feel about that? and so on.. I don't know how I survived from day to day dwithout mylot..lol that is how bad I love mylot and all it's great members. I'm coney I know. But mylot has really gave me a backbone people say I have changed. Not to their liking because I have stopped letting them walk all over me and take advantage of me. So to me that is a good change. I think that mylot has made my life better. I have alot of respect for those on mylot especially those who give their best and aren't always rude, sarcastic, selfish, everyone is intitled to a bad day here and there but we here at mylot have a few rebels, and black sheep.lol ahhh..just like any other normal family does I guess. Sometimes I can go as far as to say that I would trust mylot friends more then others I know and I would take their advice better. So I am mylot came into existence so I could have a better existence. Thanks to all of those at mylot..~becca

I think of myself as very ordinary. Nothing special.
Then I reply to a thread from my experience and I get a lovely response back thanking me for my help/nice words/understanding/whatever. It really makes my day!
OK, you may ask a question here and get ten different answers and be just as confused as when you started but hey, isn't that exactly what you can get going to specialists at £100 and hour.

Hello, smacksman. No two persons are 100% alike. That makes us a unique individual. For this alone, each one of us matter in this world. Bear in mind from this time on, that you are special and that you count so much to friends and love ones...you count a lot to the friends you have here in mylot.

I guess that is one of the great things about this site, the fact that people from all over the world, from all races, creeds and colours, men and woman, young and old, all are able to communicate here. I have made some amazing friends here, received some wonderful responses to my discussions and enjoyed the participation in other discussions on here.

I think it is the fact that we are online that makes everything so trustworthy. We don't know anyone deep down and what they are really like just how they are portayed online, what makes it easier for me is that when you are talking about relationships and problems in your life, the majority of the time you are speaking to people who live on the other side of the world or at least a great distance from you, and at the end of the day if they do live close they are unlikely to recognise you in the street. Although friends are closer and know you better, they may not seem the complete problem due to what they know is going on and how you react in certain situations.

I feel the same way, the friends I have attained here are wonderful, we chat online through instant messenger when we haven't heard from each other in days, we help each other out with problems here or elsewhere and we always try to respond to each other's discussions, myLot has become a place I can't wait to come to each and every day and look forward to visiting and discussing with them.

the big trouble with mylot is its being addictive. at first, when my dear daughter had been doing this, i just got curious, so i joined. now, look what it has done to me. everyday, there is a need for me to have ample time at the computer or i will be feeling bad at not having participated in some discussions. there is a feeling of fulfillment to be around here and interact with our friends online. such that it is as though, the day is incomplete if we cannot be with them for a day.

I like the fact that I can get a strangers opinion on a problem. They tend to give an open and honest opinion where friends will lie to you just to keep from hurting you. Here people don't have to worry about that. They figure if you are worried about getting hurt, you wouldn't be posting your problems on here.

i think that most people can easily share their feelings or opinions to others because this is online-we dont know the person, we never seen everybody here. so i guess that makes it easy to loose our mask and bare our soul or express our minds.

maryannemax, trust is the corner stone of everything you do and I want to absolutely agree with you that the mylotians share in complete trust which I commend! You see, in mylot you have a combination of many resources and knowlege base. There are lawyers, Doctors, politicians, agriculturalist and computer experts all of whom can answer pertinent questions raised in the discussions- the answers are trustworthy and candid!

yeah
its more like a journal or something
I admit more when its anonymous like this
If people are mean and spying or something, then I think we should be able to mess with em anyway we want to I think
then maybe they say they were SHOCKED at what they found when they spied on us !!!!!!!????????
interesting cybenetic implications for society I think
If people are mean, its their problem.

Trust is what is required to get along in this challenging world. I know we should be selective in choosing the people whom we should trust and whom we should not.
Every one are emotional and they do tend to share their feelings with friends and fellow members. In the process of sharing these feelings one gets affectionate to others and the faith and trust will automatically come into play.
So far i don't have that good amount of friends here with whom i can share my personal feelings or emotional feelings. Guess i will get some good friends soon here on mylot.

I don't mind talking abuot personal matters on here beacuse as it has been said before it is the Internet. It makes me more relaxed knowing that i can express my very true opinion about my personal life without fear of co-workers, family, etc.. hearing about it. I myself am a very open person in real life too. I have very little to hide and I don't normally say or type anything that I wouldn't own up to if asked. I would love to know people off this site in the real time but I doubt anyone lives out here in the middle of the woods in Ontario like I do lol! I ahve seen threads about Mylot get togethers and they sound lovely but I would never be able to make it to the Philipines or England. I think the world will be a better place in the future because people can go online and talk with each other around the world and discuss first hand that (and these are just examples, not my own opinion, please don't get mad) that middle eastern people aren't all terrorists, Americans aren't all warmongering gunlovers, that Africans aren't all looking for citizenship or money, that Canadians aren't backwoods inbred lumberjacks etc... by online forums like this we are all able to talk with each other not caring about colour, religion, country, etc... We are judged instead by our thoughts and opinions, which I believe we should be judged on. The online forums help to break down these barriers. Thank bloody god! Sometimes I wonder if this world might be a more understanding place if we were all blind and couldn't see differences.

What i found in mylot most of the discussion are very fair and have some quality. when anyone openly shares his good or bad experience, he/she can learn from other's view about the incident. Trust is one of the key factor in developing friendship. More you trust others, more you gain trust. This is friendship and then only can we share each other's view. mylot members are doing the same. I think all the members continue with the same spirit and it is growing day by day. May there be many people who are selfish, sarcastic, but mylot gathers all them on a same platform. It is really a social networking. Thanks to all mylot staff for designing the good program.
