mine is the tersk, or tersky. these beautiful horses have lovely lines like arabs but have a silvery coat and tend to be taller. second favourite would have to be anglo-arabs, just because of their versatility. what can i say, i'm a hotblood nut. although i do love draft horses as well. what's your favourite horse breed?

I love Friesians, I think they're absolutely beautiful, but then I adore feathering on horses -- it looks so flashy.

I adore Friesians. they're just so stunning. of the horses I've had (never had a friesian, unfortunately) a gorgreous chestnut arab was just the most fun ever. brilliant cheeky character, great sense of humour

Quarter horses by far and wide. I have ridden, taught on, and schooled many breads but the quarter horse is the most sound horse I have ever come across.

This may sound a bit common-- but thoroughbred by far. I just love their personalities!

oh lets see Favorite breed...I really like Quarter Horses, I have a nice mare she is about 16 hands and is very athletic I would love to breed her to a fresion in hopes of getting a nice tall good moving trail horse. Or maybe breed her to a Jack and get some mule babies out of her. My answer would have to be Quarter Horse even if it does take four to make one ;-)

Tersk horses are beautiful! =) My favorite breed however is the Arabian. They are straight from the fairytales and have a character to die for! Andalusians are the second breed I love. =)

Tough question! I would have to say that my favorite breed would be the Tennessee Walker. They have a wonderful personality - sweet, gentle, and loving - while also being rather high-strung when ridden. They also have very sleek and graceful lines, long and think manes, and an absolutely wonderful gait. They are an all around pleasure to ride. My second favorite would have to be either the Paint or Quarter Horse. They are wonderful performance horses and also have good personalities.

I am a big fan of Quarter Horses and Morgans. It is probably because these are the breeds of my favorite horses. I find them to be very docile and good for western riding. They are also a sturdy horse that don't struggle on the trails. Draft horses are beautiful and I actually have a horse that is a Quarter Horse/Draft mix. She is stubborn as all get out, but really a solid horse. Great topic !

I also think the tersk is beautiful but my daughter and I are both tall so the tersk is alittle short for us.We do have a morgan that is 15.1 and she seems short but would be the same size as a tall tersk..I love the QH because they are good at almost everything. The standardbred are nice levelheaded horses.I think the gypsy vanners are georgous..My friend has a beautiful friesian Stallion that she rides ..He is so graceful..I just love all horses and can find good and bad in each breed. The Arabs are a wonderful horse also.We own 1 arab,1 morgan,2 qh,1standardbred,standardbred/qh cross..I don't think I ever meta horse I couldn't stand...teehee Good to have more horsey people here on myLot...Welcome

wow! this is a tough one!lol! for all around use i would want a quarter horse, for beauty, and firey spirit, and Arabian,or maybe a Frisian. Quarter horse are all around great performance horses. my quarter horse daley was small, but had a heart that knew no bounds. he was fast and smart, and could out jump the best jumpers in thebarn. I compeated in everything from eventing,to team penning, and everything in between with him and won consisitantly in every area! Arabias and Fresians are beautiful and great performance horses with lots of flair!though I did have a connamera mare who was the sweetest tempered horse ever! i could put both my sons on her at once and she owuld slowley walk them around the yard. nothing phased her ever!

I would have to say the Akhal-Teke is my favorite breed of horse. I love their history and their "uniqueness". I would really love to own one someday. :)

I know I'm late to this discussion, but just joined myLot, and am trying to learn my way around. :-) My dream horse would be a dusky palomino Morgan ....
