The Gunslinger Girl: Another unpopular anime that I am fond of.

When you see the title, what comes to mind is an action-packed anime filled with gun shooting. Well actually, even though guns are the primary weapons of the girls in this anime, its not that action-packed.
It's more of the life story of five young girls who are brainwashed by the government, made into cyborgs, to be an ultimate assassin. Yet even with all their "conditioning", the fact remains that they are still adolescent girls, and still go through all the emotional, psychological, and physical challenges that comes with being in that stage of life.
The anime is relatively short, with 13 episodes only, but its really worth your time.

Why is it unpopular? I heard alot of people loved it :) I'm thinking about buying the boxed set once I have enough to afford it.

I love this anime and I've watch all of season 1. I've only seen some of season 2, but I like the change in animation style of this one. Right now I am following the manga, which isn't over yet.
