I had a fountain for the cats for about 9 months. It wasn't the most expensive on the market, but worked just fine for about 5 months, then needed pretty constant extensive cleaning. The real problem was with the cats themselves... they couldn't resist playing with the water! Every afternoon when I got home, there was water everywhere, and when I wised up and put a pad under the fountain, it was soaked and all scrunched up... more fun for the cats! So I know your cat will love it, just consider getting an easily-cleanable brand and locating it in an area that won't sustain any damage from moisture. Have fun!

LOL I hadn't thought about the cats playing with the water. I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks for the info.

I have a food dispenser
which is in some way like
the fountain.
The greatest trouble is
to clean it.
Our cat liked it a lot.
No more food outside the dish.

I got mySELF a table fountain and my cats have made it into a drinking fountain.. so I didnt have much of a choice. The only problems we have is when its not on and the cats want a drink they try to tip it over. So, did you end up getting one?

We have had one for close to a year. I find that it is easy to maintain and re-fill (ours needs to have the container filled every 2-3 days to keep the water at the correct level). If you do get a fountain, I recommend cleaning it at least every two weeks to ensure the water stays as clean as possible and that cat hair doesn't clog the pump. The only thing I can't seems to remember to do is change out the filter - with 3 fish tanks in the house, you would think I would remember to do that.

We had a fountain for our cat. She loved it! The pump broke after about 8 months. We keep meaning to buy her a new fountain but life has been hectic.
