what to do with my life

How did you decide what you wanted to do with your life? I'm about to finish my junior year in highschool, I'll be applying to a few colleges this summer and I have no idea what I want to do. I'm pretty good with computers, but most of the technology jobs are being outsourced to other countries.

You still have plenty of time to think about what you want to do with your life but if you are interested in computers then thats what you should go for.
My hubby's aunt is working in Japan right now doing computer system stuff making awesome money.
My hubby will start school at the end of this month doing computer work. The school he is going through has a 90% success rate and they start looking for you a job the 2nd day of school.
Do something that you like otherwise you will regret your decision and hate your job.

To be honest with you (I know this sounds reallly bad), I think it's more important that I make lots of money than do something I like but wouldn't make much doing. I think my life would be better having lots of money to do the things I want to do than having a job I like and not being able to do things. I would like to travel around the world and I don't see myself being able to do that not making much money.

It's kind of funny because when I was about 3 or 4 years old I decided I wanted to be a teacher, and after all these years it hasn't changed. I still want to be a teacher, and I think it's really cool that I want to do the same thing and my mind has not changed. You have some time to decide what you want to do. Just think of something that you will enjoy doing, not a job that you're going to dread going to work to everyday.

Hello Tyler and welcome to Mylot.You have plenty of time to decide what you want to do with your life.maby there is something you are good at besides computers,Or maby you have a hidden talent that hasnt been reveled yet.I would just go on to college and take the basic courses and maby by the end of your first year you will decide what you want to do. Whatever you decide good luck.

Welcome to mylot Mr.Tyler, now you want to do something or the other and the best person who can answer your question is you , yourself , because you know your strengths and weakness the best , so decide nd lets us know.
And as you have said that you are good with computers , i will recommend go for it , talent is searched everywhere ,i guess.

You don't have to decide now. What I would do is when you do get to college, take your general education classes and get those out of the way. Then you can focus on your major. When I was a junior in high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do as a career. It took me a while to figure it out. Don't worry about what you want to do now. You will find something that you will love to do. Remember, ask yourself this, Will I be looking forward to doing this kind of work everyday until I retire? If you say no, then it is not the right career for you. If you like working with computers, then looking into various careers with computers. In the meantime, don't worry right now about your future career goals.
