The last few days i did not have much time spending here on mylot, most of the day i was outside the house, doing all sort of things, mainly going to this course i have started.
So when i opened up my email box, i had about 80 email notifications of discussion started by mylot users. The first reaction was: Yaai i do not have to look for posts in the website, they are all in front of me, all i got to do is open the email post and respond. But when i did, all of my good mood and motivation went down. I tackled across so many posts that had a yes or no question, that i did not see any other choice that responding with a yes or no response. But because that is against all rules of a normal discussion, i decided to let go and just erase the post from my email.
Now i am asking you did you ever get so mad seeing those kind of posts that you wanted to respond with only one word: Yes or NO?
Did you eventually do so? or did you just erase the post and moved on?

Hello, liranlgo, I have seen some of the yes or no questions in my email notification,I think you do not have to care much about it as you still have alot of good discussions in your inbox,do not get upset when you see these posts, just ignore it and omve on to the good ones, that is what i do at least.
Anyway work hard on the good ones then..:)

Close enough. I don't think I did a one-word (I might, not sure). However, I sure have done one line ones before. I was so mad, so p*ssed, so everything. I just couldn't be bothered anyway.

I like to work from my inbox and open discussions from there too. If I come across a yes or no discussion, then i'll just delete it and move on. I hate answering with just one word - it's useless and unhelpful. lol

I receive a large number of e-mails and answer the quality questions first. If there aren't enough questions asked by my friend list, then I go to my interests. This normally keeps me quite busy. Any day I have extra time, I visit the new member and questions with no responses, as we all needed help when we started.

Well liranlgo, I just follow one thing: If I have time then i will post otherwise what are my first choice responces? I will look for those and then posting few responces.May be 2 or 3 only but it is ok to me!
Why to rush for posting and say yes or no? I have written 3 or 4 responces with one or two lines because it was really needed to respond that way!
And on internet, no need to get mad! It's all smooth going!

LOL, I do know what you mean! When I got back from a week away you can imagine my inbox was bursting at the seems, I had pages of notifications from my friends and like you find it easier to use the notifications for responses than trawling through the site looking for them. If I find one of those 'yes or no' responses then I will simply delete them (the discussion) and move on. I have never replied with just a yes or no because it's the way I am, it's far easier to skip the discussion my friend!

First, no...I have never responded with one word responses.
I know it is something that is against guidelines here and I work too hard to avoid doing anything that will make me loose points, earnings, or be banned.
I need my pennies! LOL
So, if there is a discussion that asks for a yes or no response, those are against guidelines also. And I will report it. Along with any one word or one line answer.
It is not fair to us that work so hard and spend at least 5 minutes typing up a response and another gets credit for a one second word response!
At that point, I will be on a reporting spree for the next several minutes.
We have to remember, those responses actually steal money away from us.
If everyone would report those responses and they were deleted, the money that was earned for that day would be put back into the pot and re-distributed. This is why you might see your earnings go up by a few pennies here or there on some days. :)
But no, I will not respond with one word because I would be doing what I report others for. Practice what you preach, right? :)

No, I don't reply to those kinds of posts. Since I came here, I stick to responding with less than 3 sentences long. I avoid these types of discussions, because as what we all know, this will then be deleted sooner or later. But if ever I see some of my friends post this stuffs, I let them be too. Maybe give them a chance, but if they repeat it, I will automatically delete them on my list.
I don't respond to posts that requires a yes or no, enumerations and selecting between to subjects, because I don't think it is helpful to this site..

yes its true, there are lots of these here in the last time. i just ignore them and move to the next. sometimes i think, people do not read the guidelines, are lazy or do not understand the system here. but i have to admit that i get mad when i come across of to many of them. in this case i logout and return later. lol

I think... even if a post is such like that you can reply in 'yes' or 'no'... if I decide to reply to it... I like to be little bit... or as far as possible...descriptive in my reply. Otherwise...if I do not have time... I just do not attempt a reply. Becuase whenever I start a discussion... I love to read a descriptive reply... not 'yes' or 'no'. In nutshell, either I do not reply at all to a discussion... or if I reply... I try to be descriptive.

so far i havent encounter like your experience but i do understand your feeling as if that the reason they respond is only for money, well i know we all go for money thats why we answer post but it more refreshing to know that other share their own sentiments, views and ideas

if you thought i just dropped in and left, then you are wrong my friend. now, bear with my garrulosity....
i have never done that. if i have a response that better be a descriptive, thoughful one than a YES or a NO. a YES or a No might have greater significance in other spheres in life but as in here it's a zilch, both qualitatively and lucratively.
hope you got my point.
cheers.....

I used to think it was easier to jsut ignore those kinds of posts but now i think i should start to report them and becoem a member of the MLPD other wise there gets to be so much junk on here but then again i have had several removed becasue people did not agree with what I was posting it really a no win situation for me.
