My ARTHRITIS is acting up!!!

I have something called Sjogren's Syndrome. It's basically inflamation of the glands. As a result, I also suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. It's not severe though. But from time to time, I would get aches and pains mainly on my hands. But today, my right knee is hurting quite bad. My doc said to take Aleve if I need to but I'm trying hard not to take any meds. But I might need to succumb soon! Uurrgggghhh!! Anyone knows of any other remedies to relieve the pain? Anyone else here suffering from arthritis? I just need to know I'm not alone :( Sorry for the pity party but I'm just in pain and I can't sleep cos' my husband is not here. He's on duty tonight and he won't be home :( Such is the life of a Marine wife. Sigh......

No you aren't alone with your pain. I too suffer with osteo arthritis. I also suffer with fibromyalgia and live with chronic daily pain. I am finding with all of the changes in weather, dampness etc. that my arthritis has been really bad lately. I just can't go with not taking something for the pain, as it just becomes too much to deal with. Sometimes if you take something it will help to settle it down quicker. Hope you feel better soon.

That's what's affecting me now...the change in weather. Today, I'm having a good day though. The sun is shining, the weather is beautiful and I'm feeling good :)
