I hope that I am not the only one against this ridiculous war with Iraq. I feel it is all just in Bush's vain. I feel all George Bush is trying to do is steal oil from Iraq and use it here in the US to make more money for himself.
And did you know that because of this unnessary war the U.S. casualties have reached remarkablehighs?: Deaths March 20–May 1 (official end of hostilities): combat, 115; noncombat, 23; total, 138. Deaths March 20, 2003–Nov.9, 2006: combat, 2,275; noncombat, 562; total, 2,837. 134 civilian contractors were killed as of June 2006.
U.S. soldiers wounded in action: 21,572 (Nov. 7, 2006).
U.S. cost of stationing troops in Iraq: in the first years, it was estimated at $4 billion per month, by 2006 it was $6 billion per month1
Iraqi civilian deaths: over 55,000 (according to Iraq Body Count in Mar. 2006)
I hope I am not the only one who think that this war is uncalled for and should be stopped.

This war is not about oil at all.
This war was started over 10 years ago by BJ Clinton when he began bombing in Iraq in preparation for the invasion of Iraq.
In 1998 he signed the Iraq Liberation Act which made regime change in Iraq official US policy.
When Bush pushed to invade Iraq, which Congress approved, he went from a bombing war to a full scale invasion.
The reasons given by both Clinton and Bush were to remove Iraq's ability to manufacture and use WMD's.
Bush added the terrorist threat as a part of the mission as well.
If Bush is trying to steal oil from Iraq, then so is every member of Congress who voted to approve the invasion, along with Clinton who initially began the bombing.

Don't you see that the government WANTS us to believe the reason we are over in Iraq is because they have weapons of mass destruction? It is just a plea to cover up what is really going on. Bush is sending all our troops over to Iraq for his own greed. He is getting filthy rich day by day to to raised gas prices of the oil he is stealing.

Contrary to what the propagandists would have you believe, this war is not about oil, or fattening Bush's bank account.
We went to Iraq with the express purpose of removing Saddam, the WMD's, and to fight the terrorists who fled Afghanistan when the war there got too hot for them, and to enforce the Ceasefire that was in place against Iraq from the previous war.
As far as the WMD,s we KNOW he had them, he got some of them from us during the Iran-Iraq War. He also used them on his on people many times over the years.
Not only did the US...including the Clinton Administration...think that Saddam had the WMD's, so did the United Nations, and our Allies That is why they had 17 Sanctions in place against Iraq.
The fact that no WMD's were found does not mean that they weren't there. Evidence exists that suggests they were most likely moved to Syria prior to the invasion. Saddam had plenty of warning, time, and opportunity to move them.
If the objective was to steal the oil, we would already have done that, and it would have been a fairly simple thing to do.
The fighting is not occurring n the oil fields, so that pretty well eliminates that particular myth.
As far as the gas prices, although the oil is readily available, half of the refineries are undergoing unscheduled maintenance and production is down.
This has been in the news, it has nothing to do with Iraq.
For your little theory to work, then all of Congress would have to be in collusion with Bush in planning this war, and no one would be trying to stop it.
Bush is not the only one who may have oil interests, Richardson just declared $250,000-$500,000 in oil assets.
I guess that makes him a part of this diabolical plot too.
He is a democrat.

This just goes to show that there ARE some ignorant people in the world who actually believe all of what the government tells us no matter what.
Don't you see Bush is a terrible president? He has raised our oil prices as well as our everyday taxes. He has done this for his greed and there is nothing else to it.
The war is NOT over WMD anymore. It may have been at first, during the beginning of the war, but as it has progressed, it has just become a way to over power their people and steal their oil.
It is NOT over WMD anymore, I wonder why people are so gullible to believe everything the government says.
