Below is a list of natural herbs that help not only alleviate pain, but also act as a natural form of anti-inflammatory:
Chammomile - This is very soothing and you can buy the extract in a health food store, just follow directions.
Bromelain (pineapple extract) - this is a great anti-inflammatory and can also be purchased in a health food store, usually in capsule form.
Horsetail - Great for lower back pain. Also found in capsule form in the health food store.
Capsaicin - This is found in hot peppers so if you like hot peppers, you can eat a few of these and the capsaicin will help alleviate pain. If you can't eat them, you can get the capsules in a health food store.
Coconut oil - This is now found to be very beneficial for many ailments. Very popular and easy to find in health food stores.

Feverfew and creeping charlie aka ground ivey are our choices for pain. Brew as teas and maybe that will help. Why pain in the back, that would make a difference also for suggesting some methods of relief. Good luck with this. I get back pain at times and it is very incapacitating. Fortunately it is the disc in my back and as long as I stay fairly fit and pay attention to my body I can function painfree most days. Good luck with yours.

Yes, one that comes straight to my mind is Valarian. My husband uses it as a natural muscle relaxer and it works great. Another one that comes to mind is a homepathic remedy called Arnica wich is great for sore muscles, bruising , bumps and it also helps you heal from the inside out on any injury.
