Why some Pinoys are skeptical about online work and online earning like mylot?

I really missed posting discussion and responding to some of my friends discussion here on mylot for over a week now since I got my new project from a direct client from australia which keep me super dooper busy for another months to come or even it will be a permanent online work.
Some of my friends are asking me about if it is true if online works really pays you or you can earned from it? Sometimes I want to say "hello, guys we are now in computer age and earning thru online work is not that impossible"
I recieved my earnings in mylot via e-gold with the help of pinoyexchange transfer directly to my equitable bank without charges and my earning online a freelance work is via xoom which I claim also in my Equitable bnk and my other online earnings is via western union and just yesterday another earning is transfer to my account.
I can't even sign in to mylot because my online work is over my head but it really pays me well in $$.
But until now I am wondering why some pinoys just don't believe that they can earn online, they can't even give simple trust to mylot that within a period of time they can be paid by it.
What is the difference of pinoy belief about working online compare to other country like india who has most number of member here or even US? Are we pinoys dont really welcome the possibility working at home convenietly via online work? Thanks for sharing...
Miss you all my friend sorry If I am not around most of the time now. I will visit and respond from time to time on my free time.

Maribel1218,I know exactly what you mean.First of all congratulations for bagging the nice project.
The reason for disbelief might be due to lack of information maribel1218,my friend.Though the number of online professionals are many,but percentagewise,it's very less(out of the whole online community).This seems to be a fresh trend in many countries and hence the unawareness.
Don't think that they are doubting you my friend.It's just that they probably don't understand it.When they'll get adequate information and knowledge of it,they are going to be very proud of you,I'm sure.
In the meantime all you can do is explain when askedand then proceed with your work without worrying about what your friends think of this.Give it some time and things will fall into place.don't let the quality of your work get affected.

Hi Maribel, yes I have not heard from you in awhile, yes well this is right that we are now in the computer age and earning through online work. Oh well I definately know that mylot pays as I have been paid by them and some other sites that I do but that is great that you do business with my country. Hope to hear from you again real soon as I miss you a real lot and especially your wonderful discussions.

Nice to hear from you. If you have a major project going, by all means attend to it and enjoy the financial prosperity. With the computer age, it is possible for anyone in any country to make a nice living using it. I am happy for you finding work online and earning a nice living.
That is the problem with many people, they don't believe that something is possible so they never explore the idea that it could work. You on the other hand, have managed to make it work by moving ahead and finding work you want to do. The naysayers will always stay that way until they decide for themselves that they can change their lives as they wish. The Internet is here for anyone to exploit to make an hoonest and decent living...you are proof of the possibilities.

Hi friend sigma! With every respond I received from my friends the more I missed mylot so much If I can just have 2 bodies to perform all the tasks.
I really agree with you my friend some are so skeptical and yet they will never benefit from it and I am so proud of myself that thru mylot I have a online work that brings me lots of changes.

I was wondering what happened to you. I have sent a few pm to you but didn't get a reply. But as long as you come and say hi to us now and then you are forgiven. I think alot of people are skeptical, most probably of all the scams, but if it works our for you then it's great. Hi ,Maribel.Glad to see you :-)Hope you are good.
I think most of them find it too good to be true and a large population is still ignorant about the possibilities of online income.Another reason could be that media hasn't yet paid much attention to this source of income.Once they do ,people might consider the online earning options with more seriousness.
Some people however might have been scammed before and find it difficult to look at it as a reliable ongoing source.I hope that with more honest sites gaining popularity , the situation will change.
p.s-I couldn't respond before as my net connection has been troubling me.

Thats gkad to know that you manage to get such a good real online deal from Australia. Must be a very good deals right?:) Me too was miss out mylot very much lately as am now beside the my real world own business I was concentrade on the online earnings program mainly on selling thing like digital books in which I had devote lots of times to it. For peoples around me in te local here I do have a similar finding and feeling like yours as most of them were still hard to convince that the new trend fo the age was information age and the internet was the main tools. Legit online earnings and Work At Home still havig hard time in my place.Happy to know that you did so well on your online earnings journey and wsh we can share some success in future.Keep up the good jobs!!

yeah, really? hmm.. actually, i also work online and some people around me do the same though in different industries.. but now you've mentioned it, i guess that explains why few people i know don't want to work online.. not directly but when we try to give or share the job with them they just say "oh,ok but no thanks". hehe ^.^

It's very nice to see you come back and visit us here on mylot. Glad to see that you're doing something else which keeps you busy. Sure we have missed you here too. As far as non-believers that feel you cannot make money online, I'm sure if they gave it a chance they would come to realize differently... lol. You should challenge them to give it a try, how else will they ever know.
I'm myself have been keeping busy, getting ready to make a big announcement in the city I reside in. not sure how some will feel about the new... lol... I'm sure some will prolly dislike what I'll say. To fully understand you'll have to read my blog/website. Did I mention it's a very good read? I too was in the same boat as you friends are in themselves, wasn't very certain if i could make money online... I tried it and my suspicions subsided.

Because of the scams prevailing the market Filipinos are so skeptical, many still don't have computers and internets, you've got to show them proof that you really are earning. And the shameful truth most of all is ignorance. I have been showing my officemates the check I earned online from a game affiliate program and they were asking me, what if they wont send you the check, see the idiosyncracy, I am showing them the check and asking me that question. :D

You are right happychoo! scams online prevent many pinoys from believing that there are certain forums online that really pays.
Some will only believe you when they see the proof of earnings and I don't blame them because time and effort is the deciding factor.

Maybe because most of the pinoys are only using computers in the internet cafe. If you'll work online you need to have access most of your time in the computer. That's why when you invite them to join under you they will say it's a scam because they can't check right away if the company is reliable.

hello maribel, honestly i am skeptikal about it. But now i am giving it a try. it's just that many people are still confused or still don't know the ins and outs here. just like me. i have many queries, i don't know who to ask. it's like when people has already felt their money in their bare hands i think they will believe what you're trying to say. we can't blame them because scam is part of the business, that there are really peaple who have cruel intention to others just to earn money. you've got a nice topic. goodluck.

Thanks joycer! I think the basic foundation to earn here on mylot is to TRUST mylot and it's member and as the time passed by as a member you will learn in the process the life changing experience you have here on mylot!

most filipinos are use to have a regular offline work where they are sure of getting a regular paycheck eventhough most of us are contemplating of having our own business and even most entrepreneurs are still skeptical in getting online for additional income.we are comfortable with with what we know and are very jittery if it's something different.and for the simple reason that there were only a few people who made real money from the net.before i got online, i was skeptical in looking for a lucrative way to earn .aside from these reasons , one major reason i could find is computer and internet illiteracy.

Pinoys, are not all rich, as we all know, so their options is to have other income oppurtunity . since they use internet as a research database , through internet also they happens to know about money making online. For them, it is two way process. research and earning on-line. that is why most of us are here on my lot.

Yeah, you're right. There are alot of people who are skeptical on how they would earn online. I invited most of my friends to join mylot but, I'm having a hard time in convincing them. After some time, I decided to stop convincing my friends, I know that if I can show them the proof of my first payment, I would not need to explain it further.
Anyway, can you share to me some sites where I could earn more? I don't have the job right now and I plan to spend most of my time online.

Hi bel, it's a good thing that you got an online job and you wouldn't have to go out of your house to earn money. It's a new type of job and i think some filipinos are not into online jobs not because they don't believe in it. It's just that some of the requirements are not easy to comply with; ie, i have to sign up by paying an enrollment fee or sign-up fee which costs money, and filipinos like me, who don't have a paypal account or a credit card, might not be able to sign up. That's one of among the reasons why pinoys are quite skeptical. But you're right not all pinoys like me.... =)
