is Babel an indie film?

ive watched it just this week, i didn't watch it on the cinemas coz i think its really not worth watching immediately... i love brad pitt but i think he was just a supporting cast of the movie... i just saw him a couple of times only...i like the story but its not a movie that i will be watching over and over again... how about you?
