My second year anniversary of my marriage is coming up and I am wondering what

I can get for my husband as a present, or maybe do with him for our anniversary? Here is some background info on us as a couple.
We do not go out on 'dates', but we do go out to the bar every once in a while, and occassionaly we do go out to eat with each other. We have 3 children at home with us most all the time, so I will need a babysitter if we do decide to go out and those are not always easy to find. I have a dog at home that needs to be let out on a regular basis, so I cannot leave for overnight trips, persay. And I guess the most important thing of all is that we really don't have all that much money to spend, so I am trying to think of something creative, that doesn't cost a whole lot.
Do you have any suggestions? Things that you maybe did for your second wedding anniversary? Thanks for all your replies, I am sure I will love them all!;0)

My husband was deployed on our second anniversary, didn't matter though because I was about to give birth, I was a whale lol. Our first anniversary we went out to a steakhouse and a casino. Many casinos have nickel slots, so it was exciting for us to win a few bucks.

Wow mememama that must have been rough on you. Did he get back in time for the baby to be born? Sorry to be so nosy. :( I just can't seem to help myself today! lol
Your first anniversary sounded like it was a grand time though. Maybe I could check into the casino that is not that far from here to see how much dinner would be there. That is an idea. Thanks!

2nd year is the "cotton year". I bought us, table cloths and sheets. Not very exciting, but we needed them. Maybe buy him some clothes or a Tshirt with a cute saying on it. Or be funny and get him a t-shirt with a picture of you on it. (did you ever see the movie Me Myself and Irene?)

anakata maybe not so exciting but practical and they can definitely be used around here! It seems that we are forever running out of spare sheets for some reason...Don't ask me why. Clothes might be the way to go. I should ask him. Unfortunately I have only seen little bits and pieces of Me Myself and Irene, but I have heard that it was pretty funny.
Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated.

Hello, uniquenorthern, good to hear that you have your wedding anniversary.
May be you can go back to the place and do what you have done in your first date with your partner, just follow the schedule at that time ,go to the same restaurant if it is still here, go to the same beach, etc, you may have a good day with him and you do not need much money and you will find you love your partner forever.

Thank you easy much appreciated, it doesn't seem like two years already. I like the suggestion of going back to the place we originally met, but unfortunately we met at a Bachelorette Auction that my Jaycees Chapter was doing, so it would be rather hard to pull that one off. It was a really nice idea though. We are just such a weird couple! lol
I really appreciate the help, thanks.

Two years can go by fast especially if you have children. The one thing that I would consider is doing something really romantic....it is so easy to lose the romance after marriage. Take her out to a candlelite dinner or make one yourself and just remember why you married her in the first place, a trip down memory lane to when you first met, find out how she remembers those things. Many couples lose the art of communication as well take the time to rebuild communication and romance. Good luck to you and Happy Anniversary.
