How do you deal with insomnia?

oh wow! do i have this problem quite often :) Well I can't sleep, or wake up in the middle of the night, there are a few things I try...
I will get up, wash off my face with cold water and walk around for a couple of minutes. That actually helps me pretty well.
Another thing I do is just stay in bed, turn on my bedside lamp and read my book. Pretty soon I start to drift and I know I can get to sleep now.
The last thing I do is I put on a favorite movie, and watch it with the sound very low. I lay on the couch with a pillow and a blanket. I often fall asleep with the tv on. And if you don't mind sleeping on a couch instead of your bed than that is a good way to fall asleep.

For me ,listening music is a effective way to fall asleep .

there was a time in my life that i was so insomiac. i realized that reasons were too much thinking, had a problem, stress, tiredness. what i did before was that, i made myself like reading books or watching tv or dvds until such time that my eyes are tired already. i also did things to made me relax like listening to music while lying on bed. and ive also tried to do routine of my time to sleep and then prayed. yeah all of these worked out for me.takecare
