To buy or not to buy a new cell phone...

My nokia 3650 unit just broke off.. After three long years of having it with me, day and night, we are together, he's like a best friend, something i can lean on huhuhu.. but one day, i just can't turn it on.. it laid there before me, lifeless.. dead! Its so sad but i thought i have to move one and do something about it.. So I placed it inside my bag and brought it to the repair man. He said some part inside my cell phone was damaged and it needed a replacement.. after the part is replaced, the repair man said it can function again as normal as it was before. I was happy to hear about that. But when i told my friends about it, they said that its time for me to change my cellphone! They told me i should get a new cell phone because my cell phone is already obsolete and it has been with me for three long years! What am i supposed to do? I loved my old cellphone.. so now i am confused whether... to buy or not to buy a new cell phone..
