Actually, i've been using the computer for more than 6 six years ago but until now, i still look at the keyboard when i'm typing. But sometimes, i can type without looking at the keyboard anymore. When i got here in myLot, my typing skills were improved.
How 'bout you? Still look at the keyboard?

I've been using the computer for 8 years now and yes i still look at the keyboard while i'm typing but I can still do good even if I'm not looking. Just don't ask me to recite the right arrangement of letters in the keyboard coz I will get a failing grade LOL

haha! well same as you i can't recite the arrangement of letters either. I remember when i was in highschool and we had a group project in our computer class, it was to make your own style of keyboard. Me and my classmates decided to make a keyboard that was arranged in alphabetical order. hehe. Do you have any idea why the letters in a keyboard is arrange in this arrangement?

even if i wanted to, i can't! c",)
hahaha.. i can't really help laughing whenever i encounter these kinda question.. haha.. don't get me wrong, its not the question thats funny.. its my keyboard! c",)
everyone here at home have been complaining about it. ever since i've brought my PC here (in cavite, we transferred from QC), they haven't been able to use it properly. thats because my keyboard has already lost almost all its marks. the only parts that are still clear are F1 to F12. all other marks have been erased. good thing i know the keyboard pretty well and i don't need to look for each letter.. lolz! c",)

Hahaha! That's funny. Yeah i think you really can't even if you wanted to. I remember the time when i was in my bestfriend's house to do our investigatory project in highschool, and like your keyboard, the characters were erased. Oh my god, i think it took us about more than 3 hours typing our revised paper. It sucks! haha! After that i never used their computer again. I always forced her to do our project in our house. hehehe. :)

hahaha.. and to think reports in high school are always crammed! hahaha.. i really can't help it, i'll just say it.. haha.. my aunt keeps on telling me to use my other keyboard, which is a heavy duty kind (the ones that don't break even when you smash your hands on it) coz its characters are still clear.. and i keep telling her to buy her own usb keyboard if she wants to use my PC. hahaha.. c",)

Haha! You're absolutely right. We did it 10 hours before the deadline. I will never forget that experience. Lik i almost cried cause i thought we won't be able to make it because there were still a lot of things to do (mostly revising the papers) and the keyboard really sucks! hehe. Well, i don't like those keyboard that are hard to press. hehe

i think it's the way how you practice it. i know someone who could type really fast without looking and with only one finger? can you imagine that. also another factor is the keyboard itself if you are really comfortable with the keyboard you are using you could do magic with it. well anyway i do type without looking at my keyboard because i tend to have my hands do the talking. hahahhaha.

Really?! That's amazing. He can type with only one finger? It's like he's just pressing in the calcultor. hehe. Well,i think that can be a talent. haha! I think you're right, the keyboard is a factor to make your typing be fast.

I also started using computer a long time ago but I'm still not good at typing because I don't type much. Sometimes i forced myself not to look at the keyboard while typing, only to find it's difficult to resist the temptation and make a lot of mistakes. Maybe I will improve my typing skill here on Mylot just as you did. Well, hope myself good luck.

All through school and college I looked at the keys when I typed. I was pretty fast though, I could type about 40 words per minute. Then I was out of work for a month and I was bored so I bought one of those "learn to type" programs and taught myself how to type without looking. Now on a bad day I can type twice as fast as before. The only time I have to look at the keyboard is the top row of numbers. I have always had a problem with stretching the right fingers up to the numbers and hitting the 8 when I mean 7 etc. The keypad on the right of the keyboard I can do without looking. I try to avoid the top row of the keyboard. :)

Angel. For the most part, no I don't look at the keyboard because I took a keyboarding course in like 7th grade. I would like to add it is important to use the finger tab thingies in the middle. I also sometimes have to look down when I hit the shift key and use a number symbol or when I use something to the right of all the letters on the keyboard. Have a good day!

It was hard for me before to type without looking at the keyboard. But since my work requires such skill, I took online lessons about typing. It helps you a lot when you learn the skills. You are typing fast, using all your fingers. However, there are times that I still look at the keyboard, especially when I start to feel my fingers getting stiff. :)

I don't look at the keyboard when i am typing since i had finished my typing test in college. I used to practice without looking at it. Now at work, it's a great help especially in responding tons of emails everyday and input numbers in our system. Sometimes when i have time, i still do some typing test online to check my accuracy in typing and my typing speed if it improves or not.

That's great. i hope i could be like you. Cause as of now im looking for a job and most of the job im applying to requires efficient typing skills and average computer skills. I never heard of any online typing test. Can you share those sites? Im interested. :) This might be my chance of improving my typing skills.

I started learn how to use computer with playing game online. First, I typed a bit slow. Because I had to type faster so I could chat with someone before he went away. And because I played game online, I had to type faster and still look at the monitor computer. so, I habitatly typed without seeing the keyboard anymore. and my friends said that I am very faster in typing.. ^^
so, I guess, if you want to learn to typing without seeing the keyboard, you have to play game online.. =P

My typing skill has been improved too. When I type from any script I do not look at the key board. When I type in myLOt, that is from my mind, I see the keyboard, because there is no problem in seeing the keyboard when I am typing from my mind. It will make my typing accurate.

I can type without looking at the keyboard, but it don't know sometimes i will just noticed that i'm looking at the keyboard while typing (just like now!) lol... Maybe some people look at the keyboard while typing because they don't want an error on the words they're typing that's why sometimes we can't help it but to look at athe keyboard while typing.

Hehe. I think some people don't notice that they are looking at the keyboard while typing. They find it too casual that sometimes they feel like they don't. Though there really are people who are good in typing that they don't need to peak in the keyboard.

I hardly look at the keyboard when I'm typing. I practiced typing since I was in grade school and when I got into high school, we have computer classes until 4th year so I guess I improved. I only look at the keyboard if I'm not really in the mood (like if I'm doing some papers).

I see. Maybe you just don't want to have typographical errors on your paper that's why you're looking at the keyboard while doing your paper. :)

Not anymore, since a long time. Rarely i look over keyboard, but i don't type very fast. However i still make ortography mistakes. I also admit that my english grammar is not so good as i would it to be, but this isn't my default language.

I see. Well typo errors are normal. I may type fast but i still look at the keyboard but as i stay long in the pc, i seldomly look at the keyboard. Is that so? What is your default language anyway?
