I work with mentally challenged adults and I love it so much that I want to start my own.I am in the process and I have my mind set.I am taking a starting my own business workshop next month through chambers of commerce.I have a name and all for my group home.I am so excited!So do you have any advice or tips you would like to share?What did you do?How did you get started?Do you love it?

I have had my own business for 27 years and love it. Now my son has his own business too. (not the same one)

Hello,disvachic,
I do not have my own business but I hope I will start my own,I hope to open a coffee shop and be the boss and not working for anyone. I do not have any planning becasue it is not realistic and I do not have enough capital, but I do have some ideas, I have been thinking of some ideal locations for the shop, and I also think of what kind of food i should have to attract more customers.

Hi there,you shouldn't say its not realistic.Where there is a will there is a way!!!You have to go out there and go for it.I thought the same thing,but I called around and did research and I finally got some help.There might be some agencies where you are that may help.YOu will start that cofee shop dont give up.

You are on the right path. Doing research and getting help is very important to your success. It is important that you have worked in the business that you are thinking about starting and that you enjoy what you do. I have owned a few different businesses and know how difficult and challenging it can be. Stay focused and set goals and you will be successful.
I would recomend getting a copy of the book: 'The E-myth Revisited' by Michael Gerber...
He is a business consultant to small businesses and specifically addresses the challenges to starting and running your own business. The 'E' stands for Entrepreneur and explains the pitfalls and myths to starting your own business.

Hi Disvachic! how are you? I was trying to start my own trucking business and I had my business plan and everything put together, but when I went to the bank they said I have some red flags on my credit. I thought the SBA would help but they are not any help what so ever! I have not given up completely, but sometimes these so called places that help you get your business started makes me wonder.

Hey dont give up!!Check around with your local chambers of commerce and some other places they may can assist you.YOUr local chambers of commerce can redirect you to agencies that will help and guide you.There are places that will help even your credit has some things on it.our local for portsmouth chambers of commerce is www.hamptonroadschamber.com and there it should be a map somewhere,you can find your local one.Its help out here.I am recieving help.DOnot give up.Keep strivng and it can happen.Dont let that credit bring you down!Try your best to fix it and there is some places that will work with you.

We have our own business A to Z shop before of joining to current job mine only maintain now my mother is looking over this business our business have good profit and it is very easy to maintain. but if we are starting any business we should have some experience on that field then only we can manage and we will come out from that business. we can grow easily if we have good experience.

That is wonderful that u want to start a business cateering to the mentally challange.Kudos to u. I hope that works out for u...Any business that anyone starts up should be something they love to do wether it be a hobby or in relationship with an existing job...Myself along with the cleaning service for people either moving in or out of a home or business.

Yes I am running my own business, an Internet Cafe, that is. My advice before you enter into a business is to study every aspect of it. But most important of all, be sure you ask yourself if that's what you really want. In a business, it is important that you have the passion to do it. 3. You Must love your business Activities
4. Mentioned what will U sell
5. What The Benefit for The Customer
6. How much you decided the price
7. Start Marketing by Promoting, etc
8. Make Sales Report and Revenue
9. Make Team Work for 1 success business

I run my own business, but it is very small and I still work a full time job while maintaining my business. I am a telephone actress and I hire other telephone actresses to take calls. There is a lot of money in this as with any form of entertainment that deals with the adult industry. I am hoping to expand my business one day and quit my job but the only reason I continue to work at my regular job is because it is guarenteed money. Some days my business at home is very slow and it depends on when people call to speak to me or the girls and guys I hire.

Hi I do not own my own business but it is in my long term goal My bf however his planing on starting up there businesses with a partner they have no money yet but they have a vision and they have an idea how to get there so go for it a lot of millionaire and successful business people started of with way less than you think just getting the right people to see your vision and willing to invest and sticking to it an never lose focus is a very good way I think to go I started a discussions about knowing the secret you can go and ck it out I think you will find the link to be very inspiring GOOD LUCK

Yes I have visions and faith.I called around and researched a few of my local agencies and now qualify for assistance.I know about the SECRET,its very powerful.I have the book and dvd.I wish you all luck with your business and may your goals be achieved.Ask,believe and recieve.I have been putting my trust in GOd.He made us similar to him so we can have and do whatever we want if we put our mind to it.

I planned to have a business, an internet cafe here in the Philippines but I stopped because maybe this year I'll be going to the US. I'm waiting now for the schedule for interview. But I'm going to pursue it maybe two years from now.
