What kind of jewel stone do you prefer?

I like Sapphire, I think because it is my birthstone and the fact that I love the color blue. I just love the way the stone looks it's very beautiful.

I like amethyst because it is relatively inexpensive and such a pretty color. Amber is nice, too, and so is green tiger's eye or serpentine. I don't like expensive jewelry, especially precious gemstones, because then that is something else to have to take care of and I have enough responsibility. Semi-precious gemstones are OK. I like almost all of them, particularly as rings set in gold, but these I do prefer to pick out and buy for myself. The beads I painted around the neck of the self-portrait used here as my avatar are blue topaz, but they are a comic element related to the length of the woman's neck, without which she would have greater difficulty arranging her chili-pepper hair. For those who believe in the healing property of stones, blue topaz is associate with the neck chakra. I don't like to receive jewelry as a gift from a man. If he wants to buy me something expensive as a surprise, let it be a house. Then I can rent it out and take the income and buy whatever I want. If he cannot afford a house, then gold bullion is nice. I sometimes wear a Credit Suisse gold bar on a neck chain, although it does somewhat remind me of the necklace metaphorically connected to Anne Boleyn, which read "I belong to Ceasar!"

There is a special science called gemology and i have quite a interesting collection of books about it. Every gem,stone, cristal has his special feautures and healing abbilities. Some popular astrology writers blindly recomend to wear definite gem in dependence of your Sun sign.But everybody has own sense to a special gem and the intuition is a guide here. So if i choose a gem like present -i will try to combine my intuition with this one of the person. And i prefer to have more then one gems and stones:-) They are really powerfull talismanes.

I prefer Opal as I was told that it’s my lucky stone but not the kind that can bring prosperity. I do believe it will bring well-being to me. Hope that health and happiness always with me.
