Today I feel I want to mutate into Sleeping Beauty and not wake up for the next century or so. I am totally drained, glazed over and feel nothing. The only sentiment I have today is missing my Beloved who gives the best foot rub in the universe. Tonight I am determined to get eight hours rest and take my calms early so I am in bed by ten. I have been feeling a little ratty too so this is the end of the line. I HAVE TO GIVE MY BODY SOME REST OTHERWISE IT WILL SHUT DOWN. wHAT IS YOUR REMEDY IN LIFE WHEN YOU REACH THIS POINT WHERE YOUR BODY IS ON red alert?

Walking , not necessarily exertion, but just excercise, plenty of vitamins, like airborne for example, and most importantly NO caffeine, and i was the biggest coffee drinker in the world, but when I quit I slept for maybe three days straight, lol, but once it was done withdrawing from my system, i get the best quality sleep ever, without interruption.Hope you feel better!

I also feel like this sometimes and the best thing for me then is to take a bath with an relaxing oil in it. Just lie there and drain myself, after that maybe have a cup of herbal tea or something else and then just turn off all the phones and all other things that might bother me and go to bed...

good to know you are having a rest. you need it. everyone does.
there are really days when we feel so exhausted. too much thinking and too much working. and it's just rewarding for us to sleep and rest for hours. we deserve it.
when i am just like you... tired and stressed, i do go to sleep, too. it's the best way to deal with stress.
happy myLotting!
p.s. i am interested on that invested you PMed me about. i will invest later. just that my e-gold currencies are invested now and in locked in periods. thanks for the invite! you take care ellie!

A good sleep will help you a bit, hopefully. It's spring tiredness, I'm afraid + you are probably emotionally down also. I'm always on the ground, with all my 4 legs. My advice - vitamine C against tiredness! I'm waiting unpassionally for the time young nettles pop their noses out... Then I'll go to the forest to get them, and make me energy tea. A cup baby nettle tea every morning for a week - and the world is looking much nicer again. You can move mountains!

Are you sure you aren't describing me? I have been feeling like someone is just sucking all the energy out of me lately. I read a story once about a psychic vampire that did this and boy I'm wondering if one moved in :) because it sure feels like it. I've been feeling very raggedy around the edges as well and about ready to snap at people. I have been sleeping but it sure hasn't helped much.
Worst part is like yesterday my neice was just being a typical 12 year old and chatting up a storm but I was ready to yell at her and tell her to shut up. I didn't though. I hope today is better.

I have been on that red alert for a few years now and a specialist told me I was completely burned out.
From working way to hard physically while at the same time training for high level races I was taking part in...
It all developed into a severe sleeping disorder.
Most days I have dizziness, nausea(from medication) and disorientation. It can be very trying, so I understand what you are saying..
You must let yourself recover.. Not just for a few days or a week..
But as my doctor told me,,for a few years. It means stressing my body less physically and stopping to smell the roses..
Instead of going for an all out training run, I go for easy jogs and stop and take pictures and walk.

don't jog, it's a killer for the heart..take up power walking instead and a good dose of internal martial arts, like tai ji..honestly you have sto slow down that heart rate..

The sunshine is usually very helpful when I need a kick in the butt. Yesterday the weather was glorious and it is supposed to stay this way for the next couple of days. My plan is to go soak up some sun! The sun has a way of picking up your spirits. Lately when I have been out in public places it is noticable that people are feeling rejuvinated due to the sunny weather.

I lock my bedroom door than go to sleep. Otherwise I would have kids, neighbors and in laws bothering me every few mintues. There are times I just have to lay down. Even if it is for an hour or two just to recharge.

i don't lock my bedroom door. but when i feel so so tired, i always tell my mom and brothers... if someone comes looking for me, tell them i am not home unless it's really an emergecy. and they already know what i mean by then. we all need to take a nap. it's how we recharge in the middle of the day. an hour or two is really good enough for us already.

I think you definately need a good sleep. I think sleep is just as important as proper meals and excercise. I am no good at all the next day when I don't get my sleep. I never knew that when I was healthy and younger but after the body starts to fall apart we learn all these things real fast. Try to get lots of rest.

Oh barbie, I know what you are feeling. I have this too and I feel as if I am ready to slip into velvet sleep forever and ever (don't wake me up :p).
Normally when this happens, I slip into depression. :P

Sometimes our body needs rest when we feel it.Yes, I agree with you that we needed some rest and some time for our own self in order for us to be more relax and be efficient after we rested.Just relaxed my friend and have some rest and drink plenty of water always.

for me, a very good night will be very helpful. but sometimes instead of sleeping i usually get to do some other chores and stay awake instead of sleeping. but for a very tiring day, a nice cold bath and peaceful sleep will be what i need.

When I was in 4th year high school in stc (which was a few months back), I experienced averaging 2 hours of sleep for one whole week. So it really is tiring. This also lead to my body clock being set to sleeping in the wee hours of the morning. However, during the summer, I could sleep for 11 hours straight! Turns out I do lack sleep after all!

I feel the same way you do tonight. I would love to sleep it off but can't switch off enough to do so. I think going for a brisk walk helps, or to the gym. Cammomile tea is also relaxing.

Yanny dear, not only am I on RED ALERT, but I'm sinking into BLUES again. My mind is scattered everywhere and I'm losing my perspective here. I need MOTIVATION. I don't know dear. Looks like I'm slowly losing my magic touch. I've been like this for a week now. As a matter of fact, I'm not spending much time here at mylot anymore. My brain is slow to comprehend all the discussions I'm reading. I guess its time for me to hike off somewhere and try to re-focus my mind. :/

This feeling must be a feeling a lot of us are experiencing. I have talked to several people in the last few days that say the same thing.
When I feel this way I crawl up in the middle of the sofa with snacks and sodas and watch old movies.

same here.. i feel so tired.. i travelled 2 hours after my exam.. went to another state.. to see my going-to-rent house... and then.. travelling around that state itself is enough to drain half of my energy.. and late evening.. i have to travel back another 2 hours to be back to my college.. it's so tiring isn't it.. feel like sleeping .. but..i have to work at here too.. mylot is considered my working platform.. everything i post.. i learn .. and at the same time.. i work for others.. giving them advises and so on.. yes.. maybe they don't need my advice.. i'll just help as much as i can.. taking mylot as a community service :D
