I'm finally certified!

Yesterday we went to the FREEZING marina for my scuba open water evaluation and it went very nicely! The cold was pretty draining on the old energy reserves but I bulled my way past that obstacle with sheer stubborn "I'm gonna get through this come heck or high water", especially high water! LOL The only parts I struggled with were problems equalizing my ears because I JUST got past the flu and that BLEEPING weight belt! Just to be thorough my instructor has us use the belt instead of integrated weights then take it off and put it back on underwater. Have I ever mentioned that I absolutely no holds barred LOATHE that weight belt???? We packed two days worth of evaluation into one day so I'm still pooped!! One snorkelling trip and 5 dives spread over 7 hours or so in the cold water was tough but now I'm certified! And I vow that I will NEVER strap a weight belt onto this body ever again! Integrated weights all the way from here on out!!
