Now if your bananas are afford use them on your hair. Bananas are rich in potassium and their emollient properties will make it glossy.
1 very ripe banana
2 tablespoon plain yoghurt
1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
1 egg white
Beat egg white till light and fluffy then spoon into mashed banana, yoghurt and oil mixture. Apply to clean, damp hair. Leave for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with a hint of shampoo

well I personnaly only use a whole egg that I would beat and then pour on my hair and then I wash my hair normally and it always leave them smooth and very shiny
I had never hear about the banana ... have you tried it yourself? are you sure it is really the banana properties helping and not the egg or the oil?
no offense, just wondering
