Do you think 24 hours a day is enough for us?

I don't know about all of you but I feel that the days and the times are getting shorter and shorter everyday. Its like I need to keep hopping with each seconds ticking on the clock. Instead of doing one task at a time, I need to do ten things all at the same time. And before I know it, the day had turned into night already.
I normally have a set of schedules all planned out. But there will always be some things added to my already hectic day. About 4 hours ago, I logged in here at mylot. I knew I'm not doing much posting but when I checked the time, I was surprised that its almost 3 in the morning.
Don't you ever wish that we have longer days and times? Do you think 24 hours a day is enough for you? Or do you think 24 hours is too long a day for you? Do share your thoughts.

24 hours is a designation only, there is quite a lot of time in 24hours, if you are busy you have to learn to make schedules but keep to them, what good is your schedule if you break it?
I am referring to expecting to spend an hour let's say on mylot and ending up spending 3. You now wasted 2 hours, that you wanted to do something else with.
the same 24 hours is there, but you did not respect your schedule, it was not that you did not have the time, you had it but you used it differently to what you intended to do.
When I make schedules, I plan them out and I stick to them, that is the only way it works for someone who is very busy, or they just don't get everything done.

No, 24 hours a day is not enough. At least this is how I feel. If you think about it, people normally sleep 8 hours a day so that actually only gives us 16 hours each day. For the people that work full time (or schooling) that only leaves them 8 hours in the day, if that. Then there's house work, homework, and other things that need to be done, which takes away additional time left. I'd have to say we need at least 36 hours a day to be able to do everything that needs to be done and still be able to have down time each day. ;)

No there are definitely not enough hours in the day. Not enough for any kind of monkey busines..lol. Between work, kids, meals, laundry, cleaning, etc. there seems to never be neough time. I am counting down for 15 more minutes to go get the last two loads of laundry out. I've done 6, plus clean, get stuff ready for our trip in July. Had to go through all the kids summer clothes to see what they need, what still fits, etc. I need more time !! I wanna have some fun too !!!

Oh the eternal question why can not the day be longer. It seems the more gadgets that make life easier are developed the more complicated and the more shorter our days have become. We are slave to machines for nearly everything and yet have no time on our hands either we have too many things to do or we are not sure how to do things efficiently and going by how the modern world is most of us have too much to do. I feel "stop and smell the roses" have become a reality now a days but hold on where are the roses seems they too are not so often found near the hedges to smell. So we in our free time also think up ways to keep ourselves busy rather than let go.There always something in our lives that needs attention but quite a while ago I was laid up in bed for a week and it seems everbody managed things without me being around (not so great but just fine and without much difficulty) so it also showed me that though I was a necessity everyday but if I am not around the world is not going to end. Hence since then I reward myself with free time in which I do nothing but relax I do my favourite things like sit by the window and watch the world go by, or do my crossword, read without multi tasking(like listening to music or watching TV).
I had a dear friend who was in traction for 3 years and was laid up in the bed in one position for all the 3 years he always felt 24 hours was too much for him, which I agreed with whole heartedly; because for him everyday was just passing by bringing nothing new except save the food he had which was different everyday. He could not move his limbs or body. Got a shave once a month and a sponge bath once in 10 days (this was because he could not be moved at all). 3 years he was a prisoner to his unmoving body and for someone who is just 18 I feel it is like a world has come crashing down.
He has since then found a cure in Yoga can move walk and skip and these days goes to an office and enjoys his 24 hours to the fullest he feels he needs to cram his lost time too which is a bit difficult but he manages and loves to be here doing little things that most of us feel are too small to be apprecaited.
I do feel once a while feel "wish I had enough time" but I have also learned that this is a feeling that is never going to go away and it is in my own hands to evaluate and handle my time, so I precisely do that and try to complete all things in my list that are important and leave the rest to be done another day. For me 24 hours is just fine as of now, but who knows I might again forget my priorities and need more than 24 hours. But all I have to do is read my friend's mail and I know I shall love the adequacy of 24 hours .... ooooh I am again getting too descriptive, sorry dear and here I shall wind up! Have a nice 24 hours every 24 hours:)

Thanks for sharing this one, deaxyza. You have given me an insight as to how I should be gratified with the 24 hours a day alloted for us. I'm glad to know that your friend were able to conquer the world again after 3 years of living in a place where everything seems to stop moving. It is not easy being in his situation. I can't even say that I will have the same courage like your friend. After reading this one, I realize I must look at my life in a different perspective. I really appreciate it.

It seems like the days just fly by and there is never enough time to get things done. It is so strange how fast it seems to be going. The months just fly by.

our 24 hours is very very enough. it is our lifestyle that has to change, the way we do things is very unhealthy.we cramp everything in a very few minutes thinking it is very productive but in the long run it will take its toll on our physical heatlth and our relationships with our love ones. try to stop everything for a day and not think nor be bothered by it and you will realize that everything is the same in the morning and everything is still alright.we just thought that we are going to die if we don't get things done.study again your time management , you can spread it in a week without being stressed out.chillout, my friend.we all need it.

Well, since God gave me 24 hours in a day, I feel like He did that so I'd learn time management. : ) He probably knew that if He didn't give us a set time, we'd keep going and going, without any rest. Twenty-four hours seemed too long when I was a teenager, but now that I'm older I have a hard time with ONLY twenty-four! : )

Have you ever asked yourself why you are doing this to your self,What is your need to be going in full tilt mode? I would think that because you are deliberately carrying such a heavy and burdensome load that yes there is not enough time in the day,The old saying the hurrier I go the behinder I get, does apply to you big time. and yet you have chosen to do this. and until you can understand why and the consequences of doing this you Will continue to fall behind.
Time in your case is irrelevant, because if you had 36 hours a day you would still chose to fill them with more stuff. You are so focused on doing rather than enjoying your life, If I were burdened with the work load you chose for your self i would break under all that strain. You are human, and need to look after your self first and in order to do that you have to have time for your self, to enjoy the benefits of all your work, all you seem able to do is load on more work. I would recommend that you try to find the time for some self evaluation, and give your self a break

It is because bunny keeps hopping around, that's why 24 hours not enough :P
From the way we all work or laze around, no matter how many hours is also not enough. People will just squeeze some more activities to fill up the extra time. As long as one is not too ambitious to overstretch the hours, 24 hours a day is more than enough for me. At most, I sacrifice sleep if I need that extra hours at times.

No...24 hours in a day is definitely not enough time for me.... I'm a classic renaissance person who is involved and interested in everything...I'm primarily a photographer...and I only got my computer system about two months ago..prior to that I was relying on the computers at the library or go to an internet place...the bulk of my photography work is on either slides or prints..I don't have a digital camera yet..so along with the computer I got, I also got a film scanner..so now I'm in the process of transferring my work into digital images..now yes, that takes a lot of time and effort, plus I'm building up another website to show off my photography...plus I'm a writer, and artist, and also do craft work...now my IDEAL day would consist of some time to work on my photos, some on my crafts...write a bit in one of my novels or short stories..paint, do craftwork...everyday!! Ah, but alas no can do...frustrating!! I need at least 60 hours in a day.

yep. it's the best way to cope up. we can't do anything actually and can't lengthen hours of every day. so, just get back on track and set up priorities. and if there are things which you can't do for today, there will always be a next day.

Its easy for me to imagine. I am a student and I have to prepare for my exams well. Sometimes I hope only if this exam time could end up soon. But while attempting the paper I think if I had 5 more minutes then I would have done something. Its really confusing what I want. More time or less. We cant speed up the time or slow it down. Well finally it all depends upon the situation we are in. We want happiness to always remain there and the darkness of life to pass away soon.

I just can't get enough..... (sigh.... human.. always complain...)

This i believe is a sign that we are getting older...as we get older, our perception of time changes so relatively, we think the hours are getting shorter and there are lesser things we actually get done throughout the day. I remember when i was younger, waiting for 1 hour just took forever!!!

Since we are getting engaged with many things and staying busy most of the time we may feel that we are not having time to enjoy the day. Life is such we plan few things and in addition there will be few more things added to the list.
I do agree with what ever you said and i guess we need at the least 48 hours in a day and can you make sure that that will be enough? even then we will be engaged with many things and may be who knows then you might be posting a discussion is 48 hours enough for us in a day. Just kidding.
It is all the work and things we plan in a day which wont let us have enough time to rest or do things which we like the most.

I think twenty four hours in a day is enough time for us. Given more time, we would only fill it with more things we don't need to be doing and cause us more stress we don't need to be feeling. We all need to take a break to rest and unfortunately, most of us don't do that. More time would probably mean less rest and that's just not good for anyone.

If you want to work more than 24 hours per day, you need to live in a different planet where the days, years and months will be different. It's how our body work because we live in this planet. 24 hours is just ok for me because that's what I'm used too. There are days or months where you have a lot of things to do. There are also days and months where you have nothing to do. It just cyclic like our weather. You just need to adapt to it. This is life.
