How do you get someone who isn't all that crazy about camping to go along with you? I absolutely loved camping when my kids were growing up. Those were some of our best family times. With no TV for a week, we got down to playing together, talking and enjoying nature more. Now, I want to share that with my sweetie and he isn't too hip on the idea.

I slso love to camp...I like the serenity of miggling with nature without being in a hurry to go somewhere, or do something.....Luckily my husband also loves to camp although we always bring a tv and dvd player, several movies with us. We sit around the campfire until late into the night talking....it is truly a blessing for us.
Ask him what he dislikes about it....is it something that you can fix? Of course, there are folks out there who just do not like to be in "nature". If that is him, you may have to accept that he just is not into it......maybe a friend or two could go camping with you for a weekend or something like that.....If he really does not like it; is it worth it to have him there and miserable?
Good luck in whatever works out with this situation....
Blessed be!

Thanks for the advice. I am sure it will work out eventually. I am going to try reserving a cabin first. I think he might like it better than tenting.

I think that is a wonderful idea...begin slowly, you still get the benefit of "getting away" and into nature without the hassles of a tent.
We have a pull-out tent camper and I have a complete set of dishes, pots & pans, blankets & sheets, towels a small tv and dvd player that just stay in it all the time and then when we want to go all I have to worry about is our personal belongings and food.
I am sure that ya'll will have a wonderful time. Happy camping!!!!
Thanks for inviting me to your friends list, I have happily agreed.... Blessed be, my friend.
