Relaxing is a myth!

Poeple always feel the need to tell me I need some "downtime" some time to "relax". I think I know that! When you have 3 kids like I do this just isnt possible. Some of you that dont even have that many kids know what i mean. In my opinionwhen you need to relax that meand body AND MIND. Thats crazy talk. My mind does not stop. Kids are a 24 hour a day thing no matter if they are with a sitter or asleep or in your face! Should i take a relaxing bath? NO because my kids are at the door screaming to be let in. Should I wait until they are asleep? NO because by then I want to sleep too! Should I leave them with a sitter and have a night out? NO because I will call 100 times to make sure the horrible visions I'm having of them arent happening. Maybe a nice nap when they nap? HA, are you kidding? Thats the only freakin time i get to clean up or just breath. As I type this my 2 year old son is sitting on my lap while my 9 month old is under me playing with a book and my 5 year old has taken over the cable TV I pay so much for. JOY! So what I'm saying is...i think relaxing is a myth brought about by single non-parents. Yeah single! Because being married is a whole other discussion.

As much as you say having kids isn't relaxing I bet you it feels fantastic and without them you would be lost. Well, maybe not quite lost but I bet you would rather have the kids than tons of free time. I am 23, single, no kids and I admittadly have millions of free time. I work and when I am there I work bloody hard. Today I done a 12 hour shift and that was a eaarly finish but see wome days in the week, I do absolutely nothing and I really enjoy. SO relaxing down time does exist. I am just in an almost different world from you though.
