Are you having trouble understanding the lyrics behind Kurt's rugged sound?

I know I am.. the first time I listened to "Smells like teen spirit" I was all like, what the hell? And when I saw the lyrics in a website I was even more shocked, I guess the weird lyrics doesn't make it easier to understand aswell.. any thoughts about that?

Once you read the lyrics, they're pretty easy to understand. The only reason they're difficult to make out in the first place, is because he didn't use a lot of conventional words, like "you," "I," "we." You know, common BS you hear in every song. Most popular music uses the same rehashed lyrics over and over again, so it is difficult to understand lyrics when the are unique.

some of it i can understand, specially the chorus, but some lines i don't. But his other songs, i didn't have any problems listening/ understanding the lyrics. He doesn have a way of pronouncing the words.
