Once in a while I will leave my 13 yr old in the car, but never my 6 yr old. Even if I am just running to the video drop off, I make her come with me. You can never be too safe when it comes to your kids.

i think don't care how old our child, we cannot just leave them in the car, because the danger if we leave our childreen in the car we don't want to imagine what the child can do, then can switch the transmition so it can very dangerous..

It is highly not recommended to leave a child in a car not attended. Anything can possibly happen.... there are so many cases that i read.. people leave their car (even in a quick 2 minutes) and the car is stolen with the kids inside the car.. who's to blame if anything happen to ur child..

I have two sons five and seven and I never leave them in the car. I am just to afraid that something would happen when I am not there to protect them. It can be a pain to take them out when you are only running in but I have gotten used to it and now it is just second nature to take them in with me.

I dont have children, but as a kid I was rarly left alone in the car. When I was about 10 was pretty much when they started leaving me in the car for a second while they'd run into the gas station for milk or to the video drop watching the car the whole time. By the time i was 12 my dad didnt seem to really care anymore. If he did leave me in the car though, no matter what age, the keys were taken and the doors were locked. He was always very hesitant about leaving me in the car though. I dont think I'll ever leave my child under 12 in the car.

I would never leave my child alone in the car. This world is just to crazy to take a chance. If I dont want to drag the kids in and out with me then I just wait and go when I can leave them home with their father. Or better yet I send him and the kids on errands.

I've never left my children in the car to run into a store and you're right, in this day and age, no one is safe leaving their children left unattended in a car for any amount of time, no matter how short. I think that parents who do leave their children in the car, unattended are taking a gamble that either someone will report them for doing it or having someone carjack their car with their kids in it which has happened a lot over the years.

No I will not leave my child inside the car.We must take all precautionary action to take good care and protect our child from being kidnapped.
