When i went to high school i noticed a significant drop in the art classes offered and the art credits required. Do you think art is important in a child's education? ... Why or Why not? I think art should be required the same as English or math.

Art is such a necessary topic to help give interest and understanding to subjects like math and English. While I can understand the arguement that students need the core subjects to do better in life, I question the quality of life if they are not taught how to use all they are learning to make a difference in the culture around them.

it is for some people, but due to cut back like every other non manditory course. I feel it should be up to the student to provide the supplies. For my drafting classes, I had to provide my own supplies, thus not draining the school board any further for courses that are not "manditory"
