same start different result

i like to see the fact of the life. many people start their career in the same start and maybe almost same condition.but many people stuck in the middle, but the other people achieve the highest result. why? i learn that many people fell comfort in the comfort zone. they forget or don't care about the other change. because they think that it's enough.but the other side, never satisfy with current position, they out from the comfort zone, they learn anything, they take the other change even it's not they specialization, but they can handle it all, they solve the problem, and get the better career.they think that no matter if it's not my specialization, they think that one way to expert in the other specialization is just learn. do you have the same cases? thank you
