In my area hunting is very popular. Everyone is just trying to get the biggest buck out there. My husband likes to hunt deer, squirrels, rabbits, and turkeys.
I do not see nothing wrong with hunting for a supply of food. I know of alot of people though who think hunting should be banned.
Are you one of these people? Or do you not have a problem with it at all? If you have a problem with it, what is it?

My husband hunts deer for the meat, we use it in different dishes at home and make deer sausage and deer jerky. I do not see a problem with him hunting deer. The deer in our area get overpopulated and this leads to disease and so many of the on the roadways and people getting hurt because they hit one. We even have our state park open up for disabled hunters to keep them from being overpopulated. I feel kind of funny about the whole thing, I am such an animal lover, but I feel that it is better to not let them get overpopulated because it hust causes more problems in the long run.

Yeah, hunting shoud be banned, because animals are human's friends. I have a bird and a dog in my home eveyday I will feed them , sometimes I feel lonely and sad, they will stay with me without any sounds just looking at my eyes , seeming to know what I am thinking. Killing animals just for getting money is disgusting. I hated this kind of behavior. Animals also have their feelings, trying to co-existe with them peacefully and love them .

"Animals are human's friends."
I think, from how you defined friendship, that you mean companionship with animals. I don't share the same view, and I am pretty sure not everyone will agree with it, too. So as far as that point of yours saying that you hate hunting (or "killing animals," as you have said) because animals also have their feelings and we should try to "love them" go, I don't agree. I don't care what these animals think because I believe I'm in a position to determine whether I should or should not benefit from their existence. Most, if not all, animals only have the capacity to think about survival, and I don't think they'll be pondering whether they should, should not, want, or not want to exist. So, in the end, it doesn't matter to me.

Yes, I do have problem with hunting specially of those animals whose species is getting lesser and lesser day by day... why don't we leave these animals to themselves, we already have so many kinds of animals which serves as a meal for us... I'm strictly a non-veggie, but only those animals that are available in plenty...

if its for food, then i am fine with it. but if its for the sport and having a head to hang on the wall then it should be banned.
the only hunting season we have in my area is dove season. which i think SHOULD be banned!! the size rifles those guys use leave nothing but a small pile of unrecognizable flesh and a poof of feathers! there isnt enough left to attempt to eat...you'd have to have a dozen.
i hate dove season. i regularly feed a small flock of mourning doves in my backyard, and you can always tell when dove season is here, cause my flock almost doubles.

Hunting for sport should be banned, but not hunting for food and clothing. None of the animals should be wasted. 'Cause facts are..we're omnivores. We need meat, mainly for the protein..without it we would die. I honor and respect the animals..but it's just the whole circle of life thing. They need to eat and so do we.
I'm learning hunting this year to ease some of my family's tight budget for food. Mostly rabbit..but you know, whatever makes the money stretch.

If the meat is dressed and used for food I don't see anything wrong with it. Especially these days when grocery prices are so high. We fill our freezer every chance we get.

I do not hunt but I have 3 brother-in-laws and a mother-in-law that hunt. They hunt for a supply of food. They are respectful hunters. I do not see anything wrong when hunting for food supply.

My husband is also a hunter, and I don't have any problems with it. The vast majority of hunters are very conservation and environmentally minded. As long as you hunt within the laws, seasons, and limits, I don't see a problem with it. I also enjoy cooking and eating the venison he brings home.

Hunting for sport, is simply wrong. I believe that God has a special place for people who hunt for the sport of it, Oh, I guess that means your husband also. In my opinion animals have a right to life more then most humans. Especially people who don't respect life!!! ..... Oh, like hunters.

Trophy hunting sucks, period. Damned immoral, too.
Human beings are born with stereoscopic, binocular vision - this means we are part of the kingdom that kills. If we really are "better" than animals, then we should have reverence and gratitude for the life we took to sustain our own. This is kind of like the way Native Americans used to regard their kills, as noble and worthy lives, too. If people are hunting to feed themselves, please don't be wasteful, and God bless!

I don't like hunting. If people don't need to kill animals then I don't think they should do it, I think it is cruel and a waste of life. I wish that people would just stop killing innocent animals for sport. I hate it...if you havent guessed I'm a big animal lover! lol

My husband and I both hunt, to fill the freezer.
If there was no hunting, populations would get out of control, and the deer would die from lack of food or disease. More deer are killed on the road every year from getting hit by cars, then hunters kill. I would rather see the meat on someone's table, then rotting on the side of the road.

I don't hunt, and think it's really creepy to see animal heads on walls. For the ones that hunt and actually use the meat that's ok in my book, at least they are not wasting what they killed. I know with deer you have to have deer season to keep them from being over populated. My best friend in high school, her mom hit a buck and it totaled her car right before deer season started. I think even with the over population something should be done with the bodies, so they don't just cut the heads off and leave the rest to rot.

Well when I was young my father would go hunting, he hunted for rabbits mainly but it was not for money but to feed us, I also agree with you that I see nothing wrong with hunting when it is so supply us with food. We do not have much of a problem with thinking that hunting should be banned but it is the poaches that should be banned for laming the animal just for the sake of money.

Well I think that hunting should be banned because it is now become of human's need!
One has to think about the life forms and species and remaining its presence on earth as well as we must consider this process as a part of past because as a specie we are advance and has more chance to go ahead without hunting and promoting vegetarian concept in life!

I think hunting is alright, even for meet or for food, thats something cool, but having said that it shouldnt be excessive as the species might lost with the time trail, so preserve whats little to value what we have, other than this rule hunting is a type of sports and hunting rabbits, turkeys or even some type of deers wouldnt do any harm at all, as fishing is some sort of hunting aswell, should it be banned aswell?

I could never figure out why hunters are so proud of themselves. What kind of man can shoot and kill an unarmed harmless creature. Does it make them feel like big men. I say arm the animals and make it a fair fight. If we had hunter season I would go out and get me a hunter, a three pointer right through the middle of the forehead. Hunting for sport is wrong.

In our place there's nothing wrong with hunting. I really love to hunt. Sometimes my friends go out just to hunt like snakes, bats, something exotic. Then we cook it. Some people might say we're wierd. But I think there are lots of people too out there who eat exotic food. Have you eaten those too?
