What's the best free antivirus that can be downloaded off the internet?

I think that it is norton. I think it is free because I use this frequently whenever I need a new set of PC.

AVG is the best free antivirus that can be downloaded off the internet free of cost. I've used it for a long time and fully satisfied with it. You can also upgrade to a premium version at some cost but free AVG is very good as well with no big limitations. Its quite light too and will even work well with computers having less RAM. So all one can say is AVG is the best.

If you want a free antivirus, I would suggest AVG.. It doesn't slow your system down like some of the other antivirus programs... It gives you updates almost daily... I have also heard about avast, though I don't know much about it...

you can find nortun and avg free on most of the ocations but i feel node 32 is the best and if you want the source of the anti virus then send me a pm i will give you the link to download that full version with 100 yers subscription patch

Undoubtedly AVG free edition is the best one can get on the internet. AVG has served me well for last one year and I have all words of praise for it. I deleted my Norton antivirus as it was slowing my system down and AVG was the best replacement.

antivir is the lightest.give it a try and you will see. also it has no spyware/adware.

I first used Norton as it expired I used avg free edition and i found a no. of viruses that norton hasn't detected and now i installed Avast and to my surprise i found some viruses that even avg couldn't detect. So i recommend u to use AVAST! as it is the BEST.
