Insomnia can help to develop a taste in old movies. The other night I found a treasure, namely, The Postman Rings Twice,starring John Garfield and Lana Turner. This old film is a classic "film noir" as it features a sexy siren, a cute itinerant drifter and a spouse who needs killing so that they can be together. John Garfield bears a resemblance to my father when he was young, and perhaps psychologically at least, that's why I am always drawn to his films. He died young but his films live. While some may say that the acting is not exactly the best there is, the story line is fascinating to all who love a good mystery. Have you seen this film? if you have, what do YOU think of it?
