Do you pay the Bill just after receipt or wait for the last due date?

I am prompt in payment of Bills like the electricity, the gas, telephone, credit card etc. Since the bill is a liability created for the things already consumed, its one's duty to pay off the same within the minimum time in order to avoid the penality amount given "After due date" column. That makes me feel easy after payment within minimum time. What about you people? Do you realise the bill as the liability to be paid at earliest or pay after due date with some extra amount?

Being poor, I believe in the pay as you go method. I pay my bills as they come in if I have enough money. If I don't have the money, I pay them a little late when I get the money. Sometimes, I just cannot pay them in full so I call the company and work out a payment plan. For instance, it took me 6 months to pay off last summer's electric bill for July. It was over $500. Texas gets really hot in the summer. I just called the electric company and told them I don't have that kind of money for a one month bill. We set up a deferred payment plan. I realized that I have consumed the utility and that the bills have to be paid, but sometimes I just don't have the money.

I like to pay my bills about a week before they are due. I don't want to risk the chance of being late on a bill.

yup.that's how we do it at home, too. there are even days when we pay the bills same day as we receive it. for as long as we have the money to pay, we pay it at once or as early as we can.

I try to pay my bills soon after they come in. Somtimes I am very busy and will put off sitting down to pay them for a few days. Twice this has come back to haunt me because I left it too long and had to pay a late fee. Since then, I have been much more careful about paying the bills at least on time, if not early.

I pay**on** the due date - not before, but not after, either. By paying early, you lose the time value of your money (i.e., the interest it might earn). But if you pay a day late, you're stuck with the penalty. So how do I make sure that I always pay**exactly** on time? I use my bank's online bill payment program. That way, if the bill is paid late, they pay the penalty!

I try to pay as quickly as possible, because I don't want to either pay late fees, or even just cause myself to have a bad reputation with the companies that supply my utilities. If I'm having a financial problem and can't pay something right away, I might pay it late, but I always call the company to explain. It might seem like I'm just annoying them, but most of the time if I call they won't charge me late fees, and they'll make a note of when my payment will come so I won't lose service or anything. Thankfully, since I just got my tax return back, I can now pay things up and not have to worry about them for a bit! YAY!

Bills and Receipts - Woman sitting on floor with BILLS
whatever types of bills you have, they should be paid because you have used their services. as to the payment period or due dates, on my part, depends on the availability of funds. if i have enough money on time i would pay my bills before the due date. otherwise, i have to wait for the due date. there are even times that my payments are delayed, so i expect then for surcharges to be included in the payment.

I normally pay my bills the week before they are due. I gather up my monthly calender where I keep track of all my bills on Sunday. I will pay all the bills that are due that week. That way I am never late but also the company I am paying doesn't get the extra interest for my paying early.

I prefer paying my bills right after they are issued, if I have the money. Maybe when the last due date will be close , I won't have the time to go pay them.

Erm, I don't pay the bill just after I receive the bill but I will pay it when I think I have enought money for that bill. If at those time I don't have money I pay it at the last due date. Sometimes, I think bill can make me crazy. Why not, every much I must pay about more than three bill. Normally, only three basic bill that are electricity bill, water bill and telephone bill. But I must pay more. That's why I join MyLot because I hope can find more money for my life and to pay the bill. Bill is very boring. I feel luckly because I not a credit card user. If I some of credit card user I think I can muflist because a piece of card that can damage my life.

Waow! Too much bills made you crazy!! Hummm Do you think you would have an ample amount of earning here to pay off your one liability? I don't guess so. Well, I wish you all the best for your earning here as well. Thanks for response and keep on posting for more earnings.

bills - Its our responsibilty to pay our bills.
I think it bills must be paid before the due time or before the due time because its our responsibility to pay that bills and we need to see to it that we will update our bills in due time or before the due time alloted. We try to pay our bills updated but sometimes we are delay or behind in paying our bills.

I would love to say I pay immediately but I don't always have the money. I pay as I am able. I try to get as close to due date as I can without going over.

I get paid every 2 wks. so that's when my bills that came in during that time get paid. I use my bank's online bill pay service. Saves me a bundle on checks and stamps.
