I think I've also read another post of something like that happening to someone else. Some guy copied her picture and put it as his own avatar and when she asked why, he said it was so more people would respond to his discussion. It was very sick. But then again, was the picture he stole your actual picture because it might just be a coincidence that you put up the same avatar. If your avatar is your actual picture or a picture you've taken yourself, you should not hesitate in reporting the guy.

I have not experienced this myself, but there have been a couple of discussions started by members who have claimed to have had the same thing done to thier avatar.
I can imagine how annoying this is, and it certainly does not qualify as the type of gentlemanly behaviour that we would like to enjoy here at Mylot.
The main criterion here is whether the other person has intentionally copied your avatar, or has acquired it from the same source as yourself and is unaware that it is already being used here. The possibility of an innocent duplication always exists, so I would be reluctant to judge the person without knowing the truth.

My avatar is my photo, so nobody has stolen it. But I have heard other people say this. If I were you, I would turn him in. Use the ! next to their post and give your reason. Good luck.

Don't get too upset. They say copies are the best form of flattery! It simply means they loved it and wanted one too. Or perhaps it's something they found elsewhere (unless it's your own original creation?) But it is a kewl avatar!

I haven't experience this by myself. Yeah, I think it's quite sickening when you see someone is using the same avatar as yours. But could it be he's just using the same as yours by coincident, or he really stole yours to use? But I don't understand what the purpose they wanna steal the avatar.... It will not be unique anymore, if they use someone else's avatar, isn't it?

I don't think too many people are into woodpigeons, so I am probably in no danger of having my avatar jacked. Sorry it happened to you, I have seen yours and the other one you mentioned and took it to be an innocent coincidence. Yours is a bit catchy, so I can see why you feel someone is riding your wake a bit.
