Bean is ok, but it runs a distant second to Rowan Atkinson's greatest show...Black Adder. It is almost the exact antithesis of Bean; dry, sarcastic, witty humour than is driven by the spoken word rather than physical pratfalls. Now that's a show I never get tired off, I just wish they'd make more, a movie, I'd even settle for a Rowan Atkinson and Stephen Fry appearance on "House", with Tony Robinson as the patient. (You Black Adder fans would get that one).

There was a Blackadder special/mini movie called Blackadder Back and Forth. In this skit he's Lord Blackadder at the turn of the 21st century and makes a time machine according to the plans left by Leonardo Da Vinci.Actually Baldric made it,but he planned to use it to con his friends out of 10 000 pounds a piece.Wonder of wonders it actually works and seems to be seeking his DNA across time for some reason. In this skit Colin Firth and Kate Moss are guest stars.I didn't notice the first time but Colin Firth was Shakespeare and Kate Moss was Maid Marian (a promiscuous one) It was hilarious!I found my copy at a flea market for $5 but you might be able to buy it at a DVD store if BBC still makes copies

Actually there was a Blackadder special/mini movie called Blackadder Back and Forth. In this skit,Rowan Atkinson is Lord Blackadder at the turn of the 21st century. At his new year's party he reveals that he has built a time machine with which he was going to con his 3 friends out of 10 000 pounds a piece.Since Baldric built it,wonder of wonders it actually works and seems to be seeking Blackadder's DND across time for some reason.Colin Firth and Kate Moss are guest stars in this skit.I missed it the first time but Colin Firth was Shakespeare and Kate Moss was Maid Marian (a rather fickle one at that). The ending is rather unexpected, but hilarious all the same! My kids like this comedian a lot-as for me i find him a whole grown up man who is perhaps too funny for my liking. How does he live his real life with his family?

Has two children with Sunetra Sastry: Lily and Benjamin. Rides go-karts round his tennis courts and, according to Stephen Fry (his best man), "hasn't got an ounce of showbiz in him". Has an HGV license. Owns various fast cars (Aston Martin Vantages, etc.). Writes articles for CAR (a British car magazine). Education: Newcastle University, Newcastle, UK (electrical engineering); Oxford University, Oxford, UK (electrical engineering) Races (and also crashes) his Aston Martins in the Aston Martins Owners club series. His wife, Sunetra Sastry, is a make-up artist. Attended Cathedral Chorister School, Durham with Tony Blair. He was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Comedy Performance in 1982 for the 1981 season. Once crashed his MacLaren F1, a supercar valued at more than $1,000,000, into the back of a stationary Mini Metro, valued at around $600. The damage was not severe. He was one of the guests at Prince Charles' and Camilla Parker-Bowles' wedding. Has publicly opposed the British Labour government's plans to introduce new legislation on incitement to religious hatred, arguing that it would undermine free speech and thought (even citing the possible development of mind-reading technology), and that such measures would make political satire - which he considers seminal in a democracy - unworkable.

I also like him a lot. I never get tired of seing him. In spite of that I was expecting a lot more from his movie. It was funny but not as funny as I was expecting. I have also heard he's not planning to do another one. I guess he's tired of being connected to Bean.

Rowan Atkinson proves to be a brilliant comedian in both verbal and non-verbal acting. Without a word, the audiences could understand what he is telling; with words, the dry wit, even sometimes unconventional, is refreshing for the audience. I love watching him at youtube, and I especially like Mr. Bean and The Thin Blue Line =)

I like Mr Bean but i can't watch it for long because after some time I just become nervous from the fullish things he does. All the most impossible things always happen to him and not only that what ever is reasonable to do he never seems to does it and has to do everything in a more complicated way. I know that it's that what makes him so funny and I find it funny but after a while I just have to stop watching. I like Black Adder too.
