Birth control

I have cystic ovaries and very horrible periods. My doctor proclaimed the cysts to be normal, but gave me birth control to help manage my menstruation. It seems to have helped my periods be better but these pills are making me so sick to my stomach. Oh, I feel so sick like I need to throw up really badly but I can't because I'm not a throw up person. Even if I did throw up I'm not really sure it would help me feel any better. It's really bad, to the point where I can't fall asleep and it's almost 8 in the morning. I also have to work a 9 or 10 hour day tomorrow. *sigh* Is there any suggestion for helping me feel better. My boss at work said it took her 3 months to get used to the birth control when she first started it. I really don't think I could put up with this gross feeling for that long. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and another thing that kinda scared me is after I started taking the pills one the first day of my period, it was shorter and more tolerable. Then however my next one was 2 or 3 weeks early!? That was a little weird.

if the pills are makeing you sick.then you should call the doctor an tell them.maybe they can put you on the patch or give you the shots for birth control.your doctor should test your cystic to see if its cancerous.my daughter-in-law just got out of the hospital.she had a cystic on her overies an it rupture so be carefull an get checked out again.

Thank you for the advice! I actually went and had an ultra sound done on my whole pelvic region and there was one cyst that had exploded. My doctor said that "the ovaries" do that all the time, make cyst that then rupture. He said it like it's completely normal, but I don't know many other women who have this problem. Maybe 3? I thought maybe this sickness was normal for birth control pills. UGH. He said he didn't want to put me on the shot because girls tend to get a little fat and pimply on the shot, and he knows I don't want that. Yeah,I do need to call him though.
