I just spent an hour approving friends and reading messages.I have not been on mylot for about two and a half months now, I was working, started my own business and I was doing good, struggle though because I was sick everyday, I was having a hard time getting normal things done, I ended up in hospital and I was diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension. I have not heard of this illness until I was diagnosed with it, I had no idea it even existed. If you anything about this conditon or know someone who has it, please feel free to discuss it. I'm trying to do as much research as I can...so if you can help in any ways please let me know. Thanks for reading.

Hi, Aali, Welcome back to myLot. I was wondering what happened to you. I am sorry to hear that you have been sick and that you have PPH I have pulmonary hypertension also. I think mine is secondary though. I live in a low altitude area which is better for you if you have PPH. Very few people know about this illness and friends often misunderstand and think you are talking about regular hypertension. There is a lot of information on the internet about this. Read everything you can and try to live your life with the least amount of stress to your lungs. I have heart problems as well as asthma, which I try to keep on top of to try to make less stress on my lungs. If you smoke, you definitely should quit.

secondary pulmonary hypertension (SPH) means the cause is known. A common cause of SPH are the breathing disorders emphysema and bronchitis. Other less frequent causes are the inflammatory or collagen vascular diseases such as scleroderma, CREST syndrome or systemic lupus erythematosus.
Because PPH cannot be diagnosed until all types of secondary pulmonary hypertension (of which there are many) have been excluded on clinical grounds, PPH is very difficult to diagnose.

Welcome back and for having me on your friends list. Hope the business is still doing well for you. Hope you didn't have to gve it up. I don't know much about pulmonary hypertension but I do have asthma and I know that can be bad enough. Take care of yourself and look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome back. I was wondering why we hadn't heard from you. I am sorry you got sick. I don't know much about what you have but I have a site where I get my medical information from. Its hard to find a website you can trust, so that why I only use two main ones on the internet. I either use webmd or this one.....
