This is my favorite song by Abba..........It moves me to the core of my being because it is my life in a nut shell, I guess. That one soul mate (my personal relationships)and both of us together fighting for a mission in life, growing old together and reminiscing about the past.
I want to know if any ABBA fans also feel the same way about this song.

Oh, you reminded me of my youth! I loved ABBA very much, I saw them at the first time when they did win the Eurovision competition, I watched them on Finnish TV. I like almost everything they have done, with a couple of exceptions only. I even can't say, which song I love most. I remember when I was teenager, I was obsessed with 'Dance (while the music still goes on)', *Another Town, Another Train', and 'Arrival'. 'Fernando' is a great song, and there really is a good idea behind it. Yet I suddenly recalled 'I wonder' - also a gem: 'but who the hell am I if I don't even try' - I should repeat it every day to myself LOL!
Have you noticed, if someone else tries to sing ABBA's songs, it isn't the same? It doesn't work as well. They had something very special.

Yes, the songs they sing belong to them alone. It is the same with great singers, they cannot be replaced. For example the following singers have their own unique sound: Karen Carpenter, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey to name a few. Thanks for commenting.

I started last November, on 17th. I'm trying to give every day even couple of responses, if I haven't time for more. It's really a great site to hang, to see what/how the people in other parts of world are living and thinking... At first I hadn't no time to type at all, I just read!

Hi angelina45. I love ABBA songs. Fernando is a great and moving song. The songs I love most from ABBA is "One of Us" and "Andante Andante". The group just had amazing harmony and such beautiful songs. Whether they sing a slow song or fast, it all just sounds so good. :) Thanks and happy posting!
