It depends on the situation. If I really find the service very offensive and abusive, that's the time I'm gonna report them to the boss. BUt if it's something wherein it's not really a big deal, maybe I'll just talk to the person at fault. Confront him that I don't like his service. :)

I would certainly let the person know you feel he is being rude and support your assessment with a smaller gratuity if a gratuity is called for. Let management know at your earliest convience. If management does not respond to your complaint then go to the next higher person or to the better business bureau. Even if they do not offer to compensate for the poor service they should at least acknowledge the complaint.

I would probably report it to the manager or write a letter to the higher chain managers. But sometimes my mouth gets carried away and I make a comment when I am leaving loud enough so they can hear it.I remember when I was pregnant and I got in a fight with an old lady at the register(shwe was an employeee working theregister). because she let someone jump in fromt of a line of people(I guess she was exchanging stuff.)Well I should have just stuck the shirt back and left but I made a comment to my husband she heard it and then started at me so of cours me being pregnant and having hormones I lit into her.She was downright rude.I went to talk to the manager about it but I do not think he did anything about it.He just apologized for it.My husband thought he was going to have to bail me out of jail if it kept up at the register bwtween me and the lady at the register who was an employee.Durn Hormones.LOL
